Superman 64 multiplayer is distinct from the single player mode, and ridiculously terrible in its own right. It’s a death match multiplayer shooter where you select a character and they ride around in little spaceships for some reason. I haven’t watched this video but as I recall from playing it it’s also in first person.

I just listened to the Nintendo listo section and there is a good Picross game for the playdate! Playdate game Sketch, Share, Solve you can download extra puzzles or create your own and share them :)

Probably my favorite completely optional area in a video game is possibly Nokron, Eternal City from Elden Ring (although a huge portion of that game is technically optional, I consider that area to be more optional in a way). There’s no plot reason to go there unless you’re following Ranni’s quest, and it’s one of the coolest areas in the game.

What’s that old Justice Porter quote “I’ll know it when I see it” when it comes too obscenity/pornography. That dude was lame but I’d probably apply a similar principal to DLC as a standalone game/experience topic.
Also liking the DLC goes a long way too. I really enjoyed SotET and Phantom Liberty so why not give it some dumb award. I’m hesitant about Fortnite but if they come out with a DLC which is incredible and stands on its own then why not?
But like everyone said the Game Awards are just a bit of nonsense. I mean almost all industry based awards are.

I’ve been chasing “how cool would it have been to figure out the return to the undead asylum on my own instead of reading about it on Kotaku” in Dark Souls for almost 15 years now I guess. That still rides the line of maaaaaybe I could have figured it out? And how fucking crazy is that path there! And what a result for how much of the game gets opened up! And as a result since then I’ve been comparing every revelation in subsequent Souls games to what that could have been. Unsurprisingly, it’s hard for an actual game to compete with an imagined mind blowing event.
But Nokron in Elden Ring is super close. Maybe even better.

Having been reminded of the Katt Williams tirade from earlier this year that I only tangentially heard of before I sat down and watche the whole thing. How he goes off is flabberghasting, 11 minutes in the host is saying they shouldn’t let him drink and there’s still over two hours left!
