This is cool! These are the first games Kotaro Uchikoshi, now of Zero Escape and Somnium Files fame, first became known for. I know Ever17 had an English release in the early 2000s and Never7 has a fan tl I believe but getting official translations with I assume QOL features in a modern port is awesome.
Kinda funny that this is billed as the Ernest Evans Collection despite two of the three games focusing on Anett? Anyway Iâve always had a real soft spot for these games (and theyâre very IC 6 or 7 / 11 games), even if they donât so much hold up for me, so Iâm glad theyâre getting collected.
The new power rangers game that has Christian whitehead written all over it directly copies it megazord mechanics from the mech battles of Goemonâs Great Adventures while using the SEGA 3D art style and Iâm so glad that dude is getting to continue making the best backwards-facing games of all time. I wish theyâd let him do more sonic.
Nintendo music is something I should be excited by but I just canât. I more often find stuff I enjoy getting copywrite claimed. Also this era of Nintendo with the broad monotonous red color scheme is not something I appreciate aesthetically. Iâd prefer gray, even.
that would be sweet. remember when they did stuff like that during the DS era? They have really been sleeping on the mature neutrals during the entire switch era. Part of my extreme disappointment with their squandered potential (and promise) of a variety of joycon.
Apparently this game came out a few days ago. It wasnât even on my radar until I read this review. Iâve been working for giant corporations for my entire career, so sign me up!
Edit: apparently it has a âunique country-based difficulty systemâ. Neat!
Final reminder of the great December 6th Sega store delisting!
