Considering everyone constantly asks me “hey, the date on the box says this went bad in October of 2024… Is it still good to eat?” I consider myself the food safety czar.

Really living large with that food science degree, I tell you what

to answer your original question: what’s happening has to do with how inert the legislature is in terms of actually making laws that affect material outcomes, regardless of ideology. In recent years, presidential administrations have tried to maneuver around the legislature by issuing executive orders and manipulating funding flows (the government functions that have money are those that are enacted). These efforts then provoke lawsuits which have lead in turn to court decisions either then permitting, prohibiting, or modifying the executive order’s implementation. FDR did a fair amount of this (you’ll probably see the Hatch Act referenced with regard to Musk; it was FDR’s administration that prompted that law), Nixon tried to but ran up against hostile judges (you’ll see Nixon mentioned when the current controversies and resultant lawsuits make their way to the Supreme Court), Obama then resumed the method of governing in part through legally questionable executive order, then Biden and trump 1 continued the practice. The current wave of activity is particularly brazen and forceful, though it follows the same principle as these earlier actions: hey give it a shot and then take what you can get based on what the courts ultimately allow.

Yeah, absolutely, and that is by design. Where Democrats paced themselves and celebrated each executive order as if it were a victory for the US’ beautiful democracy, Trump is firing out orders at a much faster pace to appear as if his power is absolute in order to lessen resistance down the line.

Ultimately, it all comes down the the courts wrt what actually happens.

UFO world update: Jesus Christ will return on Easter Sunday, 2026. This conflicts with the world ending this May however. I guess we’ll see how it shakes out

yeah, probably.

That’s a question for a human nutritionist, or as I like to call them, humnuts. Human as in they study the nutrition of humans. Extra terrestrials and non-humans can also be humnuts.

But as an unqualified, uninformed person I’d say they’re a 1 out of 10. They’re still soda pop and they’re just more expensive. So like most health foods, they’re just a grift.
