How do people approach fighting games they've never played before?

Another way I‘ve had success getting better at games is to pick up a character that someone else plays. Jiyuna has done extensive “which character to pick” guides for BlazBlue: Central Fiction. This beginner guide, and this intermediate guide for Minazuki that Jiyuna did nearly a decade ago catapulted my skill with the character. Jiyuna is also probably why I play Leo in STRIVE… but mostly because Coolest Lady Jam isn’t in the game yet!

I know this is a tangent but @"whatsarobot"#p95239 you and @"Karnovski"#983 should have come to my movie night I hosted for "Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0: Thrice Upon a Time". I made a bar menu. The last item was "Misato's Cooking Dinner Tonight: Selection of Japanese beers. Instant noodles optional."

@antillese I’m going to the theatrical release of that next week. Should I pregame some misato drinks?

@Karnovski I’d recommend the LCL Negroni (which is indeed red)

LCL Negroni
Gin, sweet vermouth, Campari liqueur (substitute with Cynar to simulate the Near Third Impact)
“You smell good – like LCL” - Mari

@antillese wish i could’ve been there. that sounds like my kind of party.
