editing a lot of stuff this week. thought this shot came out cool!
Pentax 17 update. This camera rules. I fully recommend this camera. It can easily trip up a novice in difficult lighting, but 72 shots per 36 roll makes up for that imo.
To those of you more experienced film shooters, don’t listen to the haters online, half frame is fun as heck. Also don’t listen to the critics who complain about the controls, they work fine and allow plenty of creative control if you understand exposure and zone focus.
Shot with Harman Phoenix 200, take a look.
Those blues and yellows!!
Yeah, I know right. Everyone should give Phoenix 200 a try, it’s very cool.
Wow. Good shots!
Took this from my bike the other day. I love capturing cinemas, and pretty much any old storefront. Bonus when I can get someone in the shot who isn’t looking. So I enjoyed how this one turned out.
I like it
Here are a bunch of photos I took in my yard in early spring of ‘14. They were taken with an iPhone 5. Decent amount of color manipulation going on.
Cocteau Twins great band
The study of the Good Trees by the bad photographer continues. It has been another 6 months, and the autumn leaves have been regrown and everything is looking thoroughly… springy. sprung.
some gb camera shots
just got my scans back from the rolls I shot in Japan!!! still going through most of them but wanted to share some fucked up and kinda cool shots I got from a roll that I knew was lost. For whatever reason, I may have loaded it incorrectly, the film didn’t advance in the camera correctly. I’d take a shot and advance the wheel like normal but about halfway into the roll it became impossible to advance the wheel. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong so I needed to open the camera. I opened it and all of the film immediately shot out in comical fashion. It was like it hadn’t been correctly spooling in there so it kept bunching up until it basically locked all the mechanisms. I don’t know why it happened and none of my other rolls did this! I’m still a beginner so I’m assuming I messed up in some way. The negatives of most of the shots were completely black. These are the only ones I got an exposure from
I love these! Happy accidents!
Nice. I need to use my GB Camera more! I got one of these to easily get photos off it, so I’ve got no excuse.
finished going through some photos. first up: TRAINS
seconds apart and the lighting changes dramatically. so cool! This is in Tokyo. Kodak Portra 400.
Shinkansen in Tokyo. Kodak UltraMax 400.
Kyoto, waiting for the train. Kodak UltraMax 400.
Mitaka, Tokyo. This was a really cool suburb. So beautiful and bustling. Lot of stylish young families around, big commercial districts. Very different from the American equivalent. Only came here to go to the Ghibli Museum but ended up really loving walking around and taking in the city! These are all on Portra 400.
