I beat my PB a tiny bit.
I think… 2 weeks for time/score attacks feel too long…
Every time I clic on this thread I do so with a little bit of fear that @onnuhhhh has finally taken the top spot
and every time i play nanaca crash i think, how did she get 20k???
I just got lucky and got 3 of the glasses girl specials in a row at the start, then it was just timing to hit specials with the blue crash.
Oh no
had some time to kill at the bus
i feel like this may be the case for a game like this that you can play even on mobile it does kinda feel like that but for other games where I had to sit down and play them 2 weeks felt good to me but idk
Score Attacking Sin & Punishment would be insane fun (or any other similarly set piece driven non stop action railroad experience)
i think bouncing back and forth between the two would be good regardless
would build character
holy shit…
UGH I MEAN IT’S BETTER I GUESS!!!
This was such a run, had a horizontal velocity over 150m/s for ages… then I hit two of the speed down guys in a row… ashamed to say I accidentally spiked myself into the loss here, though the run was already more or less over by then…
Maybe run both attacks concurrently? Offset the starting weeks so we have winners every week.
Ok I gotta stop playing this lol
we talked about it earlier but I think it’s been nice how it is. it’s been a nice mix of chill and competitive where we’ve had different people come and go at their own leisure from week to week. that’s just my 2 cents tho!
speaking of, I only played this briefly last week (and not well), but wanted to post my score for posterity / a participation sticker lol
Here’s our official Nanaca†Podium
This was a fun one. We saw a lot of people joining the action and hitting some guy with a bike many times (he probably deserved it). @missingdata established her dominance from the beginning with a seemingly unreachable 20k score. Lots of people tried to catch up to her, but couldn’t even surpass the 10k mark. The days passed and some good scores were had but none to rival the then champion. On a random day of the latter half of this here Score Attack event, forum user @穴 posted a score that was slightly above the record previously set by @missingdata. @Gaagaagiins surprised by this score set on to achieve greatness of his own and managed to get a respectable score of 14k. Which firmly landed him in third place and in the upper echelons of the 10k gang
If we learned anything here it is that no american could wrap their head around this game using meters which gave stinky metric users an advantage, giving us an american-free podium.
The Insert Credit Semi-BiWeekly Score Attack will return again on Sunday March 30th with a game maybe choosen by our winner. During the following 2 weeks, the Time Attack thread event will be active with F1 Challenge - Sega Saturn (1995).
As always feel free to keep posting your scores if you keep playing, rules and deadlines aren’t real after all.
(ana wrote this but she made me post it cause she was too self-conscious and wanted to beat the corruption allegations that stem from being both the organizer and the winner but I think we should cancel her anyway)
poll time about next fortnight’s game
I’m fine with both options but I do like the idea of getting money to small developers.
I like giving to developers that could use a little word of mouth boost but would feel bad for anyone who would want to play but couldn’t play even if its cheap game maybe its not on their platform or moneys tight
depending on the game I would be willing to pledge to gifting a copy on steam or we could go the other route and make sure its a game with a drm free version that folks could easily share or source themselves
Asked that cause the game I had in mind was on sale for the next 2 days and thought about letting people know. But just remembered this game originally was free and the paid steam/switch version only adds extra modes and online leaderboards.
So we can play that and if people want a handheld version or simply like it they can choose to get the full version.
I’m deeply honoured to share the podium with such incredible competitors, whose awe-inspiring accomplishments inspired me to hit the fuck outta that guy with a bike over and over again (he probably did deserve it)
What’s the game? Maybe it’s easier to decide if I want to pay or not after knowing.
