@andrewelmore omg it’s real
(For context:)
having a listen to the sotn soundtrack for the first time in one million years, these tracks gave me especially warm feelings.
i forgot about this song, and hearing it again sent my brain back one million years.
this one gives me the feeling that i’m a creature native to the dump/graveyard/swamp/cave and that i’ve come home.
and this one feels like that ballroom scene from beauty and the beast but with vampires.
Is that real??
He played the Tibetan Kangling and misc. percussion on Thunder Perfect Mind
Was that before or after his stint in Einstürzende Neubauten?
I think about Secret of Mana+ way more than I think about Secret of Mana https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FNBH9P3Aes
There’s an indie game called Voidrun which is frustrating to me for a few reasons so I never finished it, but I love the soundtrack so much I bought it on Bandcamp.
It’s got modern and retro elements, but the style makes me nostalgic for a retro game that doesn’t exist. Also the retro elements don’t hurt my ears like chiptune stuff can. Here’s the main theme on YT, also a bandcamp link for the full OST:

Metaphor has those neat, wild tracks with people aggressively chanting Esperanto, but just as much I like what Meguro has done with traditional-sounding fantasy stuff. This is one of the few games in the genre, outside of Hitoshi Sakimoto’s stuff that has made me feel much anything outside of bored.
i could (and maybe have) post any savaged regime genesis chipset reworking of game music, they’re all great, you should probably like and subscribe (if you want)
to this I say: hello, Numan.
this gets stuck in my head nearly daily it’s so damn good.
