can't beat the greatest of all time (which I constantly reference as wanting in my games but which no sound designers want to do):

sounds like everyone's got their recording levels maxed. I love it!! especially on the hit effects.

I can‘t find any video of it and I don’t exactly know how to trigger it myself, but I was playing Snood kind of recently and I distinctly heard a digitized voice tell me, “END IT NOW.” (There were other lines, but that‘s the only one I distinctly remember.) I think it might’ve been because the game thought I was purposefully delaying things by shooting Snoods too fast when the ceiling was too low?

The ZX Spectrum version of Ghostbusters took the C64 version of the opening speech and decided to double down on the crunch so it ends up sounding like someone yelling through tissue paper and a comb.

I love the intro to Tempo for 32X; not the lowest quality out there but still not as impressive as it wants to be (but definitely as funky as it wants to be).

This is the only accepted pronunciation of this phrase in our household

The entire premise of Tales of Phantasia’s intro is a tech demo proving you could put an anime OP on a Super Famicom cartridge.

The other games that immediately jumped to mind were **Neo Turf Masters** / **Big Tournament Golf** and Baseball Stars 2.

I can’t find the same kind of video for **Baseball Stars 2** but it never stops yapping so any regular playthrough will do, really...

Not sure if this is low-quality enough but I still say this to myself occasionally when I start playing a game.
