New Games & Game News 2023

> Did you not hear what the child said?

> No.

> He said that Fuga's release date was sure to be announced tomorrow. (Pause.) What do you say to that?

> Then all we have to do is to wait on here.

Whoa Robin‘s is real? That’s cool. I was excited for Final Fantasy XVI but then I remembered I don‘t have a PS5 so I’ll be playing it in 2025 or something

For all you lucky Fantasian and Air Twister enjoyers, Pocket Card Jockey is coming to Apple devices/Apple Arcade. I hope it comes to other stuff, too

@“NoJoTo”#p99257 this made me imagine a game company continuously announcing big news regarding a game, for the announcement to be that they’ll announce something else big, eventually silently releasing the game while still doing the big announcements.

At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if Level 5’s own PR team had lost track of which project announced between 2015 and 2018 has been released, cancelled, put in service and terminated or still awaiting promised further announcements.

Dang! **Videoverse**, the "*Miiverse-inspired visual novel*", seems pretty cool. Crazy and sobering to already see Miiverse youth nostalgia from young creators.

Just read a great post on there, copied via the official blog: [Paizo Announces System-Neutral Open RPG](

@“Gaagaagiins”#p100367 omg the coupon code.

Finally some hope for a great new JRPG releasing on PS5 in 2023.

I am very stoked for Relink. I’ve tried to play the mobile game many times and it’s well made but I can’t stick with it. This is much more my speed and it looks fun as hell.

I’ll chime in with a totally unique feeling of excitement for Final Fantasy XVI. I think I might even swallow the $125AUD price tag on the eshop, because I’m too lazy (anxious) to go to a shop.

@“chazumaru”#p101265 Damn, that‘s a JRPG I’m willing to try.

Tango just announced an action combat rhythm game

and it's out... now

Anybody know if Mikami was particularly involved in this? Would kill to see him making action games again.

@“donrumata”#p101736 This is directed by John Johanas, the director of The Evil Within 2.

This doesn't go into detail what role he played exactly but it seems clear he at least offered moral support

@“captain”#p101735 It's on Gamepass, also:

It’s pretty good! The prominence of the Black Keys song that’s already everywhere had me worried, but that song plays in the intro and then goes away forever (I think).

Since it's on game pass I grabbed it to check it out. Played the first chapter so far, and had fun with it.

I haven't looked up the soundtrack or anything so I don't know -- but I'm _hoping_ there is a deep and varied enough song list to keep it interesting.

@“rejj”#p101841 There are actually only five or six licensed songs I believe. The rest is original. It's a little generic but suits the game well.

If anyone is curious about the Dead Space remake, Waypoint did a cool thing and streamed both versions to show the similarities and differences.
