NiGHTS into dreams~

that NiGHTS PEDESTRiAN CHαLLENGE really makes finding eggs the highlight of the game.

sounds pretty fun: play as the kids, tending to A-life until something something which triggers the boss, which you use NiGHTS to fight. that’s what i love about this era of games, feels like they were building out stuff just how ever people felt like, and whatever things were first to feel good became the game.

it’s also kind of funny how just increasing the kids top speed can kind of jack up the controls in odd ways. i bet NiGHTS’ code is absolutely wild…

Fired up the Xbox version of Nights last night after reading about the delisting news. The crispness of the polygons feels a little wrong, but the widescreen was definitely nice! To my surprise I was able to make like 50th and 60th on the leaderboards with scores around 400,000 on Spring Valley and Splash Garden. These were always my favorite levels they feel the most “pure” version of the gameplay. That canyon level is a little rough! I get the same feeling playing Nights as I do from playing something like Sega Rally— replaying a level and feeling yourself getting better at keeping up the links feels great. Curious which levels people gravitate towards the most and why?

I like the one what gots the wee car in it because I like to turn back into a human and go find it. I THINK it’s soft museum which is otherwise my least favorite mare lol.
