Non-game music that reminds you of a game

Charli XCX, the world’s greatest living artist, just released her new album, BRAT. On BRAT is this song, Mean Girls, which has this little piano riff:

This riff REALLY reminds me of the piano on another song, Patty Cake by Kodak Black:

I don’t believe this is the final version of the sample used on Patty Cake due to legal reasons, but the original sample on the demo version (and still very influential to the final version of the song) is this piano cover of Assault/Attack from Final Fantasy X:

Which then takes us back to the original version of the song seen in-game:

This instrumental sounds so much to me like walking around town in an old Persona or a Mega Man Battle Network

This is swimming upstream of the prompt of the thread but - I swear I hear hints of this soundtrack everywhere:

Playing this game with my dad as a kid I think had a huge impact on my music tastes - I don’t know enough about music to exactly articulate what I want to say but I do love electronic, house, techno, trance-y stuff (not sure if all of those labels apply) and I think this may have been the origin point of that

trying to think of where my origin point of techno was cause it was certainly from video games.

this landed in my youtube recommendations a few months ago and led to me falling down a rabbit hole of modern pop songs that people have made rhythm heaven levels for. now whenever i hear this song i hear the little syncopated handclaps in the monkey clock minigame in my head

FUTURESYTH IS THE WAVE is a track I made in 2018, and it makes me chuckle how much the ending sounds like one of the new tracks from SMTV:V. This one! Especially in the bridge portion.

Play this, close your eyes, and think of F-Zero X

This track came up in an old Monster Truck Bloopers tape I was watching and it made me want to fire up the N64

This is the soundtrack of playing the little running guy on the telephone wires from the backseat of a car as a kid.
