Photos of the last of our winter garden. Will hopefully be changing things over for spring/summer in the next few weeks.
While the winter is coming fast and hard (and cold) here in France, I’m happy to say after a tough summer with the heat, our little Japanese Maple tree has come back to life and then some, looking beautiful outside when we go into the garden.
Can’t wait to see how she grows even more!
I cut my jumbo sunflower down last weekend. This photo was from a month ago so it was far more withered but it was still really heavy and hard to cut down. I used a tree trimmer and put it in the compost for next years sunflowers.
Getting some real scarecrow horror film vibes off this in the evening mist here.
That’s a heck of a mango! Do you dry any of them or do you use them all fresh?
Fresh or green mango with salt.
My friend has a dehydrator so maybe i’ll stop by his house and make some
i like eating diced mango or making mango juice. Made this last night, it’s delicious
We decided we wanted mint again so we took this sprig from a dessert we got when going out to eat last weekend and put it in a glass to propogate. It’s got two new leaves already.
Oh yeah we also got our first ever dragonfruit. Here’s the best view of it with the least fungus visible while also hiding the crack that appeared in the skin, ha ha. Better luck next time
Is there any fruit or vegetable I could plant on my tiny balcony that doesn’t get any sunlight?
you mean no direct sunlight or do you mean it’s 100% darkened and shaded all day?
Spring has sprung, the daffs are really starting to appear!
That said, the weather here this week has other plans.
This means shorts with leggings!!!
Yah, more info is needed! Low sunlight vs no sunlight is quite different. You could get a grow light also!
Yesterday was 68F. That was pretty nice.
In about another month i need to overseed the crap out of part of our lawn to get rid of creeping charlies. Were gonna let the grass grow super long and starve that charlie out.
have you considered sod?
