any Leafs fans here? Are you sweating yet?
Well, that Saudi communication seems to be working: I was asking my soccer-loving friends in Japan if they had had the opportunity to watch what was possibly the best game of the year ( FC Barcelone 3 – 3 Inter Milan
) and, instead, they’re all making fun of SNK and Fatal Fury.
All the Geoff Keighleys better award this the Game of the Year.

Arguably the best semi-final tie in the history of the Champions League, or at least the best one I have seen, whether we’re talking about the overall level of play of the two teams, the contrasting styles, the personal heroics or the scenarios of the two matches. That restored a little bit of faith in football.
Fantastic stuff, definitely the best tie I’ve seen in my time. I’d suspect this Barcelona side will not being going away anytime soon so in the meantime it’s nice to see Inzaghi’s Inter slip into the final one more time. I’d have to rate them as slight favorites in either prospective final.
Can’t say I expect (or desire) this type of show in tomorrow’s action…
GG @Jax if you couldn’t beat that PSG tonight after trampling over them for the first 25 minutes, I don’t think you could ever make it against that Inter in the final. I honestly haven’t followed Arsenal much this season but one could tell tonight that Partey’s suspension in the first leg was indeed a huge blow to the team. Arsenal really needs to steal away one of the talented young forwards rocking the Bundesliga right now.
Speaking of which, Kvara was possibly the greatest mid-season signing of the last five years. Incredible two-way game, he’s the one who gets the free kick that unlocks the score and he saved our ass several times against Saka when Nuno Mendes was drowning on the left side. I am also glad that bullshit penalty wasn’t scored, especially given the much better goal that followed.
Two incredible keepers in the final. Would be interesting if it went all the way to the penalty shootouts.
I’d say the scoreline reflects the tie very well. Tides turned on the Ruiz goal and Paris did well to keep the next hour mostly uneventful. If you take a look at these semi-finals and the attacking options available to the four clubs, Arsenal are clearly a step behind. Kai Havertz is a very controversial player in the fanbase, I’m probably a bigger advocate than most and felt we really missed him tonight.
Partey is a good footballer. Unfortunately he comes with an absolute mountain of baggage (unsavory personal business, injuries) and his contractual status will need to be addressed this summer. Looks like the club wants to keep him but I’d rather just wash our hands of the whole thing to be honest.
Kvaratshkelia is an incredibly exciting player and I’d been ignorant to the two-way nature of his game watching from afar. The same can be said for this PSG in general really, when you contrast it with the star power boasted by its previous iteration.
The final is set to be a good one. Can’t say I have a much of a preference which way it goes but I wish you luck on a personal level. I’d imagine you’ve been waiting to win this trophy much longer than I have.
Dang, NYK - BOS is turning into a NBA Playoffs classic. It’s always a fun postseason when the Knicks are rightfully hopeful for something.
Classic is one word you could use lol, it’s been a brutal sports night for me over here.
Can’t deny this is a really fun Knicks team, Jalen Brunson is a very easy player to root for. And those defensive stops by Bridges to close out both games are tremendous. Was not worried at all after game 1. Very pessimistic after tonight. Complacency has been a theme of the entire Tatum-Brown Celtics tenure.
Oh right, oops.
At least your future is in good hands thanks to AI.
Good discussion about Knicks - Celts.

This isn’t the first time this has happened, but the 2009 IPL that was moved to South Africa was much more of a novelty at that point.
No. Fucking. Way.
