Half price books had the three psx spyros for a decent price (believe it or not the first one is going up these days… Maybe because of speedrunning?), and also the Gunstar sound disc… Let’s not talk about how much that one cost. It wound up being like 70% less than ebay after tax at least.
I haven’t really played an RTS since Dune 2. I played it so much that I began to hate the very idea of them. I’ve tried some here and there but bounced off hard. Went to the game store for a cable and they had Pikmin three for the right price. I’m going to try again. The last game I tried was the first on GameCube.
Found this at the game store. The opening cinematic sold it to me. This is the kind of jank trash I sometimes come to video games for. Also how bad can you F up Bubble Bobble? I aim to find out
I this is on sale for 18 dollars at Target. The images swap out and are lenticular. Some people are train autistic, I’m optics autistic. I love anything that does unusual things with optics. I’ll never forget a video about a camera that record a pulse of light. There’s a lot of cheating involved but it records at a trillion frames a second
My favorite part of going to Spain is being able to browse GAME, which still has used games for sale. (I actually found a copy of Resident Evil 4 at one of them, but sadly it was box-only). They also tend to have at least one game that makes me go “wait, there’s a physical of this???”
Happy to have found a copy of Playing the Piano / Out of Noise at a record store in Munich. Copies on Discogs seem to be about twice as expensive, usually because of shipping. Don’t have to worry about that now
Small haul. A hole in the wall store that sold t-shirts and horror sculptures had this sat on the shelf. It was probably all of 10 feet by 8. It was listed at $15, but without initiating a haggle the owner asked, “Is $12 good?”
Its archaeological.
It felt nice to walk down the city street with a game in a brown sandwich bag.
