Fun fact:
Maranhão, a north-eastern Brazillian state, is the national hub for independent reggae music.
It is said that the amateur radio scene/ pirate radio scene from the carribean could reach there in the 70’s~90’s so the genre popularized and there’s a lot of reggae bars / clubs. I went to one before! It was crazy.
