Teletoon was something with a real wide range of programming. In the first few months of existing, they showed pre-school stuff like The Magic School Bus & Caillou, but would also show extremely adult programming like Ninja Scroll (uncut) at night.
@“connrrr”#p49205 hey, that's my shameless re-upload of an Anti Gravity Room segment! What a fun show. Sci Fi picked it up here in the states and it would run alongside Saturday Anime for some years.

My contribution of local/regional television is Fritz the Night Owl, our local late night movie host out of the central Ohio area. Friday nights, he'd throw on the SciFi/Horror movies, but the rest of the week was anything goes from the movie packages the station bought. Here's a short clip about him.
https://vimeo.com/84263257
In the last decade or so, he has had a sort of a revival where he does new bumpers for randomly selected movies shown at local theaters for one night only. The only one I got the chance to catch due to work was Metropolis (1927), which was a fantastic night in a small community theater packed full of us old farts and even some kids, etc. The theater showed that night's new Doctor Who episode and rolled into an hour block of very random 80s/90s music videos and teasers for the Nite Owl showing.

it's a good one that I try to talk up as much as I can. I've even got two playlists for it. One with just the episodes
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLksubP8_o5Hy8xyJGZFxvyA3X1DNHB29q
and one with all the episodes and clips i could find.
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLksubP8_o5Hwi6BBQ_nuH6hWwTxX9xeGp
Still heaps missing. Especially the 5th season, which Sci-Fi dropped and only aired on YTV in Canada.
@“hellomrkearns”#p69077 Checking the usual suspects for sources on episodes, I could find the following available. Myspleen uploads often eventually find their way to Youtube, so some of these might be on there. Just going to list what‘s in the description for each one available. If you see anything missing from your playlist, lemme know and I’ll make it happen.

This is a family's home movie shot inside Ray's Video in Chico California. There were two locations and my grandparents (RIP) lived around the block from this big one on the corner of East and Esplanade. It was a monstrous location and the property has been split into both a Harbor Freight and a Save Mart store.
Ray's had isles and isles of movies for rental. They had a small arcade where I would stop at every day on a bike ride and play a few games of _Daytona USA_. My Grandpa would take us there to play pool at one of their 8 or so pool tables. I didn't ever play in the indoor playground/ball pit thing as I was a teenager at this time. Somehow we never bought ice cream from them either which is surprising because Chico is **hot** in the summer.
The big draw for teenage me was the several isles of NES, SNES, and Genesis consoles that were pay-per-hour, and when you payed per hour for a game station, you could play any of their rental games. The first time I played _MegaMan 4_ was at Ray's. I also remember playing the Genesis port of _Samurai Showdown_.
Ultimately, the market shifted and Ray's big site went out of business. It was a moment in time and like so many, they kind of sublimate into the air when the moment passes. Thank you also to the family that I don't know for putting your video up on YouTube. Also thank you for happening to shoot it on my birthday!
@“chakan”#p69084 wow. Thanks! Wish I had my spleen access.
From those descriptions, I don't think episode 50 is out there. That would have been the [Movies & TV episode.](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt4861430/)
I created this page to try and keep track of what's available and what isn't.

this is not canadian but saw it yesterday and this thread is an okay place to post it i think!
http://www.newsmusicsearcharchive.com/
as for regional TV, in the city i grew up in they had a morning zoo type of morning show on the (at first) independent channel that I occasionally watch or think about - I don't know anyone in the city anymore except my family, so when I bring it up they might think I'm a little off
I‘ve always loved the idea of older regional television! I grew up around Baltimore, and I could get the DC-region UHF channel 20 (WDCA) pretty well on my TV, so I used to watch Captain 20, a typical local TV kids’ show host. I had no idea as a kid, but the same actor also played WDCA's horror movie host, Count Gore de Vol. Anyway, footage of the Captain 20 bumper segments seems to be somewhat scarce, but naturally the one that does come up is one where Atari 2600 Combat features:

On a related note, I lived in Portland, OR for a bunch of years, and one of my neighbours had been a local TV puppet show host back in the 60's and 70's. Because I'm a big dummy, I never took the time to look up any footage on Youtube, and as a result I've completely forgotten his name and the name of the show he worked on!
I'm also obsessed with beginning/end of broadcast day videos too, but I feel like that could be done in a new thread specifically for the purpose (and of course I'm realizing that the concept itself is something that hasn't existed for like 20 years now, lol the passage of time).

... Ramblin' Rod? Also, hit us Portlanders up next time you're in town.
Was just reminded of the annual MuchMusic holiday tradition: Fromage!
From December 1988 to 2006 (and an online-only version in 2013), "Fromage paid "tribute" to music videos considered the worst or cheesiest of the year by MuchMusic staff". It really picked up popularity in 1997 when [Ed the Sock ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_the_Sock)took over hosting duties from [Christopher Ward](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Ward_(songwriter)) (aka Charles De Camembert). The show stayed on MuchMusic until it briefly moved to sister-station [CityTV](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citytv) in 2006, and was eventually revived as "Fromage 2013" on the [XSNetwork](https://www.youtube.com/c/xsnetwork/videos).
There's a few clips out there, but since it was just wraparound programming for music videos, you can imagine why it would be hard to find online.
@“conn r r r r r r r r rr r r r r r”#p89895 oh my god i still say “there are solutions” in that same concerned tone all the time. i don't even have to watch this because i have the whole thing memorized.
