I’m not understanding the distinction. That just looks like a trapper hat to me and Google and Merriam Webster aren’t recognizing glowa as a word for me to find out more.
Czapka just means cap, and głowa is head! It’s called an ushanka in Russian, not sure about Polish.
I was assuming things backwards for some reason, thought glowa was hat and czapka was head.
After reading up on it I guess one of my old trapper hats was actually a ushanka.
a helpful post containing all necessary information is immediately questioned by other posters for no discernable reason, who then find out the OP was right all along
This has been a Forums Heritage Moment™
It wasn’t helpful though, because trapper hats can typically also be tied at the top as well so I was trying to figure out the distinction.
i have a nice cotton ushanka hat and it is NEVER cold enough for that thing really. we get maybe a couple of subzero days every year but normally a cotton knit beanie type thing is enough
Last call on the physical games, the Xbox and the switch. It’s going to the dump (Game Force in Boulder) tomorrow.
It’s almost funny how worthless the Xbox One has become. Almost. Game Force wouldn’t take it, GameStop wouldn’t take it without a wireless controller, and Best Buy’s trade in estimate was $5. Might try my luck somewhere else tomorrow, but jeez.
Is Game Force still shutting down next year? The last time I was at Level 7 Games they had a pretty large section of used games. I haven’t sold anything through them, but it’s another place you could try.
I haven’t heard anything about game force shutting down, but I don’t pay attention in the first place. Of course trying to news results just shows stuff about CU, so I shouldn’t be surprised.
Hm so in July I heard they were closing in 2025. I can find a couple Twitter posts about it from that time, but nothing else. Maybe they’re staying open after all? It would be a shame if they closed. I’ll have to ask next time I’m there.
I love the XBO and if you were at all local to me (NYC) would figure something out just to gift the machine to a friend as a Gamepass machine. But man the shipping on the old VCR model would just be ludicrous.
I mean, let’s be real. The shipping is one hundred the biggest hurdle. But for the price of a roundtrip ticket with a carry on, it can all be yours…
…damn
funny though, i’m trying to find a late model 360 since my disc drive finally gave out on my elite, and even with 20+ consoles, i cannot say there’s a need for an xbone
hopefully you find some way to make it worth it!
Cross post from the CRT thread: To my fellow Portlanders (Oregon), I selling two CRT TVs and one CRT monitor. If you are on the market for a set, DM me for the insert credit discount!
realistically I know there is no point to me owning this. Emotionally I know I need the mini candy cab version for display
Hahahah honestly that’s how it spent most of its time the first few days I got it. I took it to work with me and just had King of the Monsters running with the attract mode going. It makes for a very cool desk decoration that you can also pick up and play!
