Why are the Megaman characters in that catalog just sort of floating in line? It's like the artist really wasn't comfortable drawing Megaman so they just copied the boxart. His pose is exactly the same as the playbill poster in the background.
This will have to be my next PS1 game to play though. Those images are adorable!

@“thebryanjzx90”#p81407 The short and sweet answer is « the song became a meme on TV during the heyday of SMAP back when the boys band had super popular shows on Japanese TV all afternoon » but the English Wikipedia page for the song is surprisingly exhaustive on the whole story and timeline regarding how the song entered mainstream pop culture in Japan.

i know, Uniqlo sucks. but it sucked less (to me) all those years ago.
when i saw those shirts on the rack today, i felt as if a small part of me had been put on display for all and sundry to mock me with.
(i frantically checked for marks on this version of the shirt to differentiate it from the one i have. luckily the inner collar area is noticeably different.)
(this is how we formulate identity for ourselves in 2022. making sure our mass produced sweatshop shirts are sufficiently interesting.)
