Sure do wish Ninja Baseball Bat Man would make it into Arcade Archives!

I'm surprising even myself by not posting anything Kaitei Daisensō related, but Mr. Heli needs love too!

@“Karasu”#p88976 Sure do wish Ninja Baseball Bat Man would make it into Arcade Archives!

It will be [CRT Games’ next project](https://crtgames.co.kr/) (scroll down the page) for Nintendo Switch after Snow Bros. Special (already out) and Psychic 5 Eternal (coming Spring 2023). I guess it’s one of those minor Japanese arcade games that gained a weirdly specific cult status in South Korea.

Here is a complete playthrough of **Pachislo Fūunroku 4: Gindama Satsujin Jiken**, the full-fledged murder mystery adventure game found inside the pachinko game Pachipara 12 and made with the Zettai Zetsumei Toshi / Bumpy Trot engine by that same team, which Brandon mentioned during one of the recent wandering TGS episodes of the podcast. Three of such adventure games were done with that engine. My favorite one is the sequel, Pachislo Fūunroku 5, which is found in Pachipara 13.

@“chazumaru”#p89040 oh, excellent, I’m looking forward to it! Thanks for the info!

Now I‘m realizing I should’ve submitted the cast of Ninja Baseball Batman as one character to yeso's insert credit smash thing

Someone do it!!!!

AKIO, one of the artists behind R-Type, In The Hunt & Metal Slug created a Twitter account two weeks ago and is now regularly posting art and musings on his video game career

There's clearly a want for this in the community, he only joined a month ago and already has 59K followers! Look at dem likes!

Also, I would give my left eyeball for bright green IREM graphing paper. Edit: Right eyeball. My right one is the one with worse astigmatism.

@“Shaneus”#p114437 I had the privilege of playing on an original R-TYPE cabinet (25cents per play!!!) at a hot dog store in the American south east. Wish I’d spent more time with it.

No pictures, but I'd like to contribute to the IREM conversation:

  • - I put the PS1 version of In the Hunt on the emulation cabinet and my kids friggin' love it.
  • - I like _R-Type Delta_ more than the _Final_ games. I don't know if this makes me wrong or bad or both, but the game seems more straightforward to me.
  • - Speaking of _R-Type_ I've been playing the TG16 version of it lately on the same said emulation cabinet and it's shockingly good compared to the arcade code. Yeah, the backgrounds are a bit less detailed, but the game feels exactly the same and the enemy patterns seem to be the same to me and they all seem to keep up with the system without much sprite flickering. It's cool! I also love how the "Continue" screen is made up of text art with the 0 character.
