Show Me Anything Irem

@“antillese”#p115129 Delta is such a cool looking game. I think it has more personality than the Final games.

@“antillese”#p115129 my favorite part of the arcade experience was the stubby little joystick and the classic arcade audio being muffled through the cabinetry.

Cool little PV for Geopolitics-tō ni Okeru Kokka Kōbō Ron (ゲオポリティック島における国家興亡論 which roughly translates to « Theory on the rise and fall of nations in Geopolitics Island »), a cool little 4X developped by Tamtex for Irem on the Famicom and which should have released around September 1990 (so a year before Civilization, for instance).

In the end, it got cancelled for whatever reason. The game probably followed on the ideas developed in Tamtex’s [Hototogisu](https://youtu.be/d0ykLTGZ-3c) (1988).

@gdri your page on Tamtex and the few other websites that mention the game (understandably) misread the title as Geopolitics _Shima_ but the PV confirms it is the island proper name and therefore Geopolitics-_tō_ / Geopolitics Island.

@“treefroggy”#p115141 very old post but I think this is the cabinet I played on. Didn’t know it was produced by Nintendo in the US? Idk seems weird
