I posted a message to the community in the no text thread that hopefully settles this once and for all.
Mrs. Gaagaagiins and I went to a pottery class on a date, and I became this guy:
ā¦just wordlessly trying to figure it all out as I bored a hole into the pottery wheel staring at it and autistically playing with it and liking how nice the clay feels when you have the clay nice and centred on the wheel (this is like 90% of the challenge for the record) and itās making a nice even shape.
Turns out, pottery is one of those things that is way harder than it looks. Even if you think you already are controlling for a preconceived assumption that it is harder than it looks, itās a little harder than that! Probably not that much harder but still.
I kept trying too hard to make something that I was satisfied with, and also kept trying to understand a bit better how everything worked, and that usually ended up with my clay getting too sloppy, and it all falling apart near the last stages. But Mrs. Gaagaagiins made a funky ashtray, which I believe is either still sitting to dry out at the studio in preparation to go in the kiln, or has been fired in the kiln. Weāre gonna go back to the studio at some point and Mrs. Gaagaagiins will glaze and/or paint their ashtray. I suppose Iāll just sit and watch, or perhaps the nice young lady who runs the studio will let me heed the clarion call of the wheel again.
Iām going to Japan soon and asked my brother if he had any souvenir requests and he said his son would like anything Pokemon and I said Iāll see what I can do.
Fingers crossed that they have that kind of stuff there.
You should get a Digimon souvenir and then pretend to the kid you donāt know the difference. That might be fun

I have movers packing and moving stuff in my house right now. Tomorrow we get to see whether my existing storage unit is enough room or the bigger storage unit I panic-reserved this morning is also needed. Iām a ball of nervous energy, and not the fun Sonic kind.
The movers have been entirely professional even as they said things like, āWe got a problemā and pointed to a cabinet with loose clay pots. (Oops.)
my ribs felt off enough that i went to the doctor. happy to learn that i have two ribs with non-displaced fractures. suppose it being two cracked ribs rather than one is what made it feel off. glad to know they ought to heal fine.
I really gotta remind myself more regularly to not fill all my entire days with podcasts / (doom) scrolling and instead let my brain be bored and think thoughts.
Maybe someone here needs to hear this too (probably since weāre all on literally a podcast forum lol)

To them, the site is nothing more than an entry in a ledger whose value they are compelled to maximize, according to whatever the nebulous prevailing standard tells them.

Unfortunately, I played Flappy Dunk as much as youtube would allow me. I got 200+ points, I got 15 swishes in a row, I unlocked most of what you could unlockā¦
But one of the late-game missions in mission mode is bugged on the Youtube version and it will instantly fail you upon starting. Thus crashing my semi-addiction into the ground (thankfully; mercifully)
