someone should find a non terrible Tomb Raider ad – that’s the real challenge.

The place you want to go for a not-terrible Tomb Raider ad is PC magazines in the mid-1990s. So the console space quickly turned spicy, but the PC magazines were slower to follow because much of their content is still wargames and adventure games. So there is a sort of tameness and minimalism to the early Tomb Raider ad that we don’t see in what follows.
