they are doing a seemingly real fight card to promote the new fatal fury game
I really don’t like the idea of promoting simulated violence with the real thing.
There’s already enough reason not to but SNK products anymore, but I think this clinched it for me, to despite having fun in the beta.
i wouldn’t call combat sports violence. combat, but not violence.
I won’t try to convince you otherwise, but it seems like violence to me.
fair enough.
I watched that. It’s good but they don’t go into how he actually made the game much. The fact that the whole game is around 32mb doesn’t even get a mention. But I loaded the game up on my steam Deck after, as I had dropped off it when ill last year, and was quite lost. However, I then accidentally stumbled across an old area where I had kept dying, hit all the things, killed the big creature and rolled credits. It’s got to be in my top 2 or 3 games now.
Yeah the documentary itself was pretty superficial—wish they got more into the creative process. That said, seems like Basso is pretty low key by nature so I might be wishing for something that wasn’t there. Made me want to replay the game tho and further cemented my love for it. One of my favorite things was the sound design, awesome to know he just did it all on a Moog.
^big animal well interview podcast. Haven’t listened but might be more what you’re all looking for.
If it were up to me, we’d be calling you MackNumberOne
Lovely stuff. I’ll give that a listen. Thank you.
??
while I wouldn’t have any expectations for a modern suikoden I’m praying they aren’t forcing Bloober to make a live service gacha suikoden or something like that.
gotta pull for you heroes!!

Is this the year I get to play lost odyssey
lmao
charging up the good old Vita after all these years and will be partaking of Suikoden II once more
I guess D&D one shots are now the western equivalent of a Japanese stage show.
Hope you’re all saving pulls for Summer Neclord.
They’re making a Suikoden II anime as well. Leave it to Konami to sit on the IP for years and years only to return with a deluge of increasingly bizarre announcements
