Oh oops!! What are some of the other criticisms people are having with green yuri?
oh nothing serious I’ve just heard lots of folks not vibe with it because it’s super meandering and borderline queerbait with how long it has dragged on with little developments
also for the indefensible crime of trying to make weezer fans seem human
regardless it has given us incredibly funny panels and I look forward to it every week
I absolutely love HDWR! I think it’s so good and so well drawn and I eagerly wait for each new chapter and it looks like its almost over!? I dont think I’ve ever read another yuri manga before but I checked this one after hearing a bit of buzz and it’s great.
love bullet is a good ass time
I’m falling in love with the early American days of manga, printing them as square bound A4 prestige issues with awesome covers.
As the title implies, this owes a lot to lost world pulps. Early issues are pretty stripped back, with figures mostly floating in white void. On the back 3 issues though it’s great action and vivid detail. It makes me wonder what else Eclipse put out in this era.
I like these early ones too! I have a huge star blazers, MD Geist, and Dark Angel in this sort of format.
But what I came here to post about today was getting lucky at the book store. I bought Dai Dark 2 cheap at a half price books a while back, so then I got the first one. Only later to find out they made a collection of 1-4, which would have been real convenient.
Well, what do you know, at another bookstore today they had the collection box for 1-4, but with 3-6 jammed in it instead. Just the issues I need! Sometimes you get lucky.
I also got a nice gunsmith cats (return of gray), mermaid’s gaze (I didn’t realize until recently that rumiko takahashi’s mermaids scar was mukti-part), and Vols 3 and 4 of “No. 5,” which is bad manga SEO if I ever saw it. Good hunting at the book store today. They have really expanded their manga selection, it’s 4 floor to ceiling bookcases now.
this looks a lot better than this new Harold Sakuishi Music manga called The Band I read today
I’ve been reading Starving Anonymous, a story about people being kidnapped and taken to a facility where people are raised to feed an alien race. I’m about halfway through the story, and the writing and characters aren’t super compelling (they’re fine) but the art is gross and terrifying and I’m really down for that right now. People getting peeled like bananas, people getting their faces bitten off, horrible surgeries from psychopathic doctors.
I really like the way the artist draws human faces in general.
Not gonna post the real gnarly stuff because I think it might be considered NSFW, but it’s real good and gross.
I checked out the first volume of one piece and just kept going so I guess I’m reading one piece now. I ‘m on volume 18 and I get why people love it so much. I tried to watch the anime a while back and didn’t really want to stick with it but I feel like the pacing of the manga is much better. I saw some of you saying the art gets better and more detailed, excited to see how it changes. My favorite parts so far are how Luffy calls anything he doesn’t understand a mystery _____
Also made me laugh when he got so excited he started clapping with his feet. Lots of weird over the top cartoony stuff that’s fun.
You got a lot of good stuff ahead of you! The manga rules.
Check back in with us in another 18 volumes and let us know what you think (if you like :))
