Next time I’m there I’ll take pictures
tonight my wife and kid and i went to the scrap in portland, where i found a few cool oddities that i paid, like, $0.75 for, but cooler than them i found this:
You never know what you’re gonna find at a half price. Not pictured is the first gezan album which I picked up along with the pictured xenosaga.
Found an absolutely backwards mamiya camera with two telephoto lenses in Decatur Illinois for a song. I have never used a medium format camera before but I’m going to try. The camera with lens is a little over 6lb. It’s a monster and doesn’t have a through the l lens view finder so you can’t tell what’s in frame. It’s easy at low zoom but you have to really use your imagination at 200x
Also hog joy, pass it on.
I found a color cube! Their website still sells software for windows 98! The cube is a powerful artifact of CMYK color theory even if the actual object is poorly engineered, I have been spoiled by Lego and Bandai brand plastic.
yoooo FALCOM’s DINOSAUR??? That’s Insert Credit game of the century material IMHO. I aughta nominate that one.
I was very tempted but not having a CD drive in my tower made it a very tough sell.
I want to know the person who gave it to Half Price. What other treasures do they hold?
That’s a gorgeous hunk of camera right there! What kind of film back was attached to it?
I don’t know the specific name but this one. I believe it’s the one that I’ve seen in every review of this camera.
amazing! looks like the 6x9 back, that’ll get you some huge negatives (or some of the most beautiful slide film shots you’ve ever seen). Hope it’s in decent working order.
It seems to be. The shutter is in the lens of the camera and it appears to actuate on both lenses. I have some film coming so we’ll see.
