our cultures are so similar that the nuances really do speak volumes
Two at a time is my usual mode of stair-taking.
I still use all fours
This is how I take metro station stairs, all the time. I’m racing to get out of there. In my own building, though, I take my time (but not anymore!!).
Only if I’m drunk.
Used to work with mail carriage, the best tip for climbing stairs it to just get a hasty stride going and never break it. The moment you slow down, every step will get heavier and heavier.
Me and Alicia had a period where we would walk up all the stairs in our high rise building and I quickly learned to not go behind her, because she would slow down and I’d have to adjust my pace accordingly and it absolutely knocked me out. But whenever I walked in front I could just keep going and get to the top both quicker and with more energy.
I definitely run up sometimes! That’s terrific cardio. I’m interested in taking two steps at a time for the possible glute gains.
when i run up stairs (which i do many times a day at work) i run up them 2 at a time, and i find i use my butt better if i think about keeping my knees bent at a right angle the whole time. don’t know if i’m actually doing that, but that’s what i’m going for.
Two steps at a time is definitely faster, but not always ideal if you’re wearing a skirt.
i go up a set of six steps a couple times a day that i like to do 3 at a time, but at that point it’s just jumping.
for a stair challenge, down 2 steps at a time. i mean, in a controlled way.
I don’t fuck with skipping steps on the way down, have done that and accidentally tripped on multiple occasions.
im a week and change sober and it’s gone from being difficult to rewarding in a surprisingly short time. i can feel nature healing. looking forward feels a little easier.
I got a huge smile today after the amazing recommendations I received having asked a question in the long-awaited(???) insert credit manga thread. What made me smile is that someone like myself with minimal knowledge of a subject, can be taken seriously and receive positive and welcome answers when looking for advice on something they genuinely want to learn about from people who know more about it, from a community of people who love things and are kind enough to share.
It usually does, otherwise I wouldn’t be here, but the Insert Credit community made me
after only 2 tries, my washing machine isn’t spilling water out its front. makes me extremely
Our local supermarket has an Easter campaign where they’re hiding two secret easter eggs in the store every day. If you find one, you get 1kg candy for free!
One of these:
Me and Alicia have been casually keeping our eyes open while shopping, but obviously not found anything. This evening we were gonna go out for a walk, which became an impromptu snack run. So we get in half an hour before closing, since it’s so late I give no thoughts to those easter eggs, as they would’ve logically been found by the end of the day. Yet, Alicia went looking anyway and IMMEDIATELY found one of them by the chips. So now we got a fat stack of candy for completely free. Score!
