Oh wow…looks like someone is making a Tokyo Xtreme Racer inspired game for PC. It's called Night-Runners.

Mother gunship had this interesting Gunbuilding thing it did that I thought was pretty cool! I've always liked the idea of making really weird/stupid guns in games. I think the idea of fusing together multiple weapons and just getting this weird useless thing at the other end would be pretty fun.

@kappuru#1198 yeah I like any game that balances platforming with 4 directional jet pack teleport.

cave story does a great job with the jet pack

maple story magician class gets a sweet tele :j

Fighting games that DO NOT have a comeback mechanic. :stuck_out_tongue:

Asuncia is ps1 jrpg where you traverse tile by tile on a board covered in fog of war. What‘s interesting to me is that It shows you the number of monsters on your surrounding tiles. It would be nice if roaming monsters in jrpgs show how many monsters they’re carrying.

There is English patch so I might try it. Looks pretty neat.

There‘s stuff that was underused because of annoying Patents, like NAMCO’s patent on playing a game during a load screen that was used all of like…. 3 times…

You know what was good and fun? The inventory system in Resident Evil 4. I liked it a lot because it was slightly more interesting than your typical inventory system.

If you are not familiar, the RE4 inventory system when opened displays a container that is divided into a grid that can be upgraded to add more rows/columns. Instead of the typical system where items are just magically collected and thrown into list (or icon) format in a menu, each item in RE4 took up a certain amount of squares in your inventory. This made for a fun inventory management micro-game. Here, take a look at the example image so you can visualize what I am trying to describe.

pretty cool right? But more importantly... "What are ya buyin? What are ya sellin'?"

@KennyL The concept of a racing game where you continually capture your next vehicle is pretty good. Especially if the capture can only be done by executing cool stunts. There'd have to be some mechanic that forces you to switch after awhile.

You play as Car God, with the ability to directly inhabit your subjects and unlock greater speed and ability. But mere mortal vehicles cannot handle direct contact with your power and start to breakdown as soon as you possess them. To complete a course, you must jump from host to host. The medium of transference for your divine spirit is Stunts. Perform a stunt worthy of a God in order to dominate a fresh car to possess and get a bit further.
