The algorythm fed me this
Iâm a little late to the conversation, but I inexplicably watched that whole Folding Ideas video about AVGN today. I liked the part where he makes a scale model of the AVGNâs room and leans over it menacingly.
damn i was thinking of buying thisâŚ.a sign?
https://www.youtube.com/@cyborc7415/videos recommending this channel, they are kinda amateurish and a few of their videos have flashing lights but I enjoy their stuff.
calling in sick
I watched this bewilderingly detailed documentary on Sega Rally Championship earlier this week, and have been obsessed with PandaMoniumâs channel ever since, all because @hellomrkearns shared it in the Saturn thread a short while back. thank you
In the interest of offering up something new, hereâs a shorter (but still feature-length) vid on Corpse Killer and the history of FMV games, which I really quite enjoyed. Especially the original interview footage with the actress who plays your journo bud.
the fanmade Korean leisure suit larry video mentions the creator learning english to answer the gameâs copy-protection questions. This is what a korean leisure suit larry fan was up against lol. Thatâs real dedication
one struggle for all the worldwide leisure suiters
In a just world, we wouldnât have to put in so much work in pursuit of a little leisure.
This made me cry earlier today. What a beautiful epilogue to what is hardly disputably the greatest non-fiction work about working in the industry. Bless.
Iâve been watching a lot of Angela Collierâs videos lately. Sheâs a theoretical physicist (which is what I became in an only slightly different universe where I studied harder in my calculus classes) and is an amazing âGeneralâ science communicator.
Here most recent one on â10 lame physics thingsâ is a good entry.
Her piece on how physicists only have 5 jokes (which she realizes are actually only 3 jokes halfway through) is also a good entry point. Look, all of them are great, OK?
The first one of hers I watched is a takedown on String Theory and why itâs not a great theory of really anything very much resonated (heh, string theory joke) with me as someone who read âThe Elegant Universeâ when it was first published. But if youâre a hardcore Insert Credit head, youâll also love it because she explains why String Theory is bankrupt while she plays and beats the Binding of Isaac! Itâs amazing!
strong seconding of the recommendation for her stuff.
She has a small 2nd channel where she talks about books:
Her video there about The Stepford Wives is excellent. Thereâs nothing groundbreaking in her analysis, but the last couple of seconds of the video successfully insta-stunned me and I am sure if you were looking at me youâd have seen me turn ghost white.
if you like obscure japanese music this channel might be for you

This may not be of everybodyâs taste, but I think what Jacob tries to present here is at least something I was against for a long time, and itâs making me think a little bit.
