Video Game Archaeology

@“fridgeboy”#p52398 this video does a better job of trying to convince me to give BotW another shot than anything else I’ve come across.

Haha thanks @rejj and @“tapevulture”#p52445 - This video has much less of a ‘point’ than most of my others. Really just me wandering around enjoying the atmosphere of the game. I'll be honest, this was mostly to test my brand new capture card - it works great!

@“tapevulture”#p52445 Breath of the Wild has good graphics

happy meal toy ass game

not the video though it‘s very good. Can tell you’re settling into a style/method fridgeboy it's good

Let's all juice his scores on ratemyprofessor dot com. He needs that chili pepper icon by his name

edit: they removed the chili pepper for hot professors this is what's wrong with this countyr

@“After that rat, another and another.”#p52471 they took away my chili pepper years ago. ‘‘twas a sad day. We’ll just have to juice my YT scores instead (whatever that means). My 5.0 on rate my professor is 75% because I’m easy.

Good morning everyone! The Book of Boba Fett is Good - it's also a Western that relies on many of the genres tropes and it references real history. I made this video analyzing themes of colonialism in this week's episode "The Tribes of Tatooine"

I'm quite proud of this one AND of the work I needed to do to evade Disney's copyright filters. Which was a lot.

I actually think you all might think this is interesting. I won't spoil it too much but basically I'm going to read Peter Olafson's FFIII Guide from 1995 while I play FF6 and talk about life, memory, etc. New Games Journalism baby.

Anyway, I have no idea if this is for anyone besides myself, but I'm making them anyway.

I think that guide is something of an imagjnation-expanding touchstone for quite a few people (myself included)

@“After that rat, another and another.”#p54028 it’s so good! And bizarre and extremely mid-90s. I didn’t realize other people had actually read it. Rereading it now it reminds me a lot of the game reviews Tim describes in his FF6 video from when he was at Kotaku.

I renamed the video and made what I think is a much cleaner thumbnail bc this thing had a terrible click through rate. YouTube's metrics tools are pretty interesting.

inkle archeology game for cheap on gog dot com

@“After that rat, another and another.”#p54702 oh yeah I’ve heard a lot about this game! I need to get a pc so bad.

@“fridgeboy”#p54703 there‘s a ps4 release but it’s $25. I'll grab it cheap, been interested in it for a while too

@“After that rat, another and another.”#p54706 ooh I’ll throw it on my PlayStation wishlist and keep an eye out for a sale. When I started doing research for this channel I wanted to know if there was anyone doing what I wanted to do and all I was able to find was one guy who did one video playing this game. So I figured that meant it was pretty wide open.

@“treefroggy”#p56555 Mario's making the exact face I make whenever anyone asks me archaeology questions

someone may have posted it already but Goombella is archeologizing every single room in this game. “This must have been used for ____”, archeology 101.
