Dang that's neat! I also have a monotron just sitting in my desk at all times... Never know when you're gonna need some weird blips and bloops!
Also... I just finished putting together the DIY electric guitar kit I got for Christmas! The inspiration behind the paint job, pick guard, knobs and headstock emblem is "Sony PVM" lol.
I literally was about to make a thread for this but cool it‘s already around. I have three albums that are different styles that I made, so I’ll just show off all of them.
Here's my stuff!

This is my latest album. It's inspired by a lot of 70s soft rock, baroque pop, and power pop. Think stuff like Big Star, Jackson Browne, The Beach Boys (from the 70s), Bread, and (gasp) The Eagles. Here's the [Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/album/0dOMS2ytdMPyt59FpjjL3P) or if you don't like Spotify [I have it on other services ](https://www.deezer.com/us/album/157268972) And then [here's my bandcamp ](https://connorleary.bandcamp.com/album/the-death-of-quicksand-man)

I also have this album! ([deezer](https://www.deezer.com/us/album/47982732), [spotify](https://open.spotify.com/album/4zbaXaZgoojpFjckQIqmgM), [bandcamp](https://connorleary.bandcamp.com/album/this-is-living-in-the-new-human-experiment)) It's a little bit weirder, from when I was listening to a lot of 70s and 80s japanese music. It takes a lot of inspiration from city pop and idol music, plus a lot of 80s yacht rock and pop. There's a little bit of 60s girl group stuff in there too. In general think stuff like Taeko Onuki, Eiichi Otaki, Andrew Gold, ELO, and Phil Spector.

People seem to like this one the most ([deezer](https://www.deezer.com/us/album/14621984), [spotify](https://open.spotify.com/album/5dxQSNItLJORu88hlHZFEz), [bandcamp](https://connorleary.bandcamp.com/album/propitiation)), idk I don't really but that's also because it's the oldest and the least technically competent. It made me a little annoyed at the whole damn thing but whatever, people like it. I tried to put everything I liked into the album, so there's a whole lot of different stuff, 90s alt rock, 80s synth pop, 60s/70s baroque pop, little bit of shibuya kei influence. I dunno. One of the songs shares a title with a song that got used in a god damn rick and morty amv, which has made it _by far_ my most popular song. 💀
There's other stuff on the bandcamp, more 90s alternative knockoffs, but I'm not gonna link them because they're old and I don't like how they sound now.
I was too nervous (in part due to covid concerns) and i forgot to tune my mandolin correctly, i also forgot to make sure I didn't look like a mess before playing, and I sure did look like a mess.
I didn't realize how much you sweat while playing live, like i've seen bands and they are all sweaty when they finish a gig, but I thought that was only when playing fast stuff that requires a lot of effort for a long time, i played slow and easy stuff and I ended up soaked in sweat after a 25 minutes set!
I played a few shows last year with a band whose covid concerns led them to designing a carefully placed network of very large on-stage fans. Each band member was kept super cool while also being supplied with nice clean backstage non-audience, non-covid air. The fan placement had been meticulously calculated for each venue, it was very impressive.
@billy wow, that‘s a actually a really good idea, gonna keep that in mind if I ever play another indoors gig. (I don’t where I would get more than 3 fans though)
Now I'm imagining a drone artist performing during covid and incorporating the fans into their sound
@穴 congrats on the show! I am now picturing just playing a show with three guitarists holding their pickups to industrial fans while diddling around on Wah pedals and pitch shifters
I've been thinking about how to share music in a way that is more scalable or if I even need to bother. Right now I upload my few MP3s to OneDrive and put a link an my Insert Credit buddies go download it accidentally click the "Like" button on the forum on the way to the next post. Should I look into putting this up on a Band Camp or Soundcloud site? Would that even be worth it for someone who does not ever intend to commercialize this hobby? Additionally, how do I distribute my NSF/VGM/ROM files? Again, right now, I'm just posting OneDrive links.
@billy Cool, thanks for looking into this for all of us! Still not really sure about why I should start a bandcamp site, but I‘m certainly thinking about it. At the same time, I feel like there’s much more pressure to “succeed” if you have a bandcamp site vs. sharing it with your forum friends, you know? That's not why I do it.
And for all of you here in this thread, this is absolutely in my top twitter accounts to follow right now.
Oooh! I play synthesizer in a pop punk band called SkullKid. My avatar is from a behind the scenes photo for our new album. We are on all major streaming platforms and of course Bandcamp.
I want to go through what everyone else has posted before I post my stuff though, I think it's only right if I support y'all before asking for support from you, well at least in this context.
Okay so I play with a band(-ish) it‘s just the singer-songwriter and me at the moment)) and one of the instruments I play is the singing saw (yes im that ridiculous). Today I discovered that there are some giant saws that were used in the 1800’s to harvest ice and now I half-jockingly want one.
other than getting a ton of octaves with that thing (and being kinda impossible to play) imagine walking into a venue looking like cloud or guts from berserk but with a giant saw bigger than me hanging on my back instead of a giant sword.
Hello! I would post a pic of all my gear but it's probably easier to just list it all out tbh
Fender Telecaster
Taylor Mini Acoustic
Squier Classic Vibe '70s P-bass
OP-1
PO-28 Robot
Arturia Keylab 49 mk2
Some random launchpad
Rode NT-1
I'll count Logic Pro as an instrument since it basically is??
And here's an album I released during the pandemic:

I was listening to a whole lot of Car Seat Headrest/Parquet Courts/Arctic Monkeys/Midwife while making this, so I think this is kind of an amalgamation of all that?
