Finally got one of those retro-bit 2.5ghz Saturn pads. Perfect for Sonic Mania, it feels so right. It is now one of two controllers I own for PC/switch along with 8bitdo Pro 2. Also feels great with Soul Calibur VI, lol.
Wasn't totally necessary for me to own, but it's low profile so it's fine! Glad I got it, feels great and while 8bitdo pro 2 does its job at covering all bases flawlessly (imho), this saturn pad does make me feel better at sonic mania, also I will eventually get the 2.5 ghz adapter for genesis so I can live my dream of using a saturn pad on mega drive. Last thing on my mind is using this on my saturn. I have perfectly good stock OEM pads for that, spank you very much!
Also good to have the video game binary of SEGA vs. Nintendo/Sony formats covered. I will never succumb to the microsoft format alphabetical face button arrangement.
I have an extra bluetooth saturn pad also and I'll post that up for sale/trade at some point.
Do any of y'all have these saturn pads? What do you use it for? If not, what **would** you use it for? Suggestions?
So idk how to spoiler tag images on here but after playing about 15 hours of Xenoblade 3 I got unceremoniously spoiled on a single still image from the ending cutscene so tasteless and stupid beyond all belief it has me seriously reconsidering if I want to crank another 70+ hours into this game.
@â2501â#p80593 I know what youâre talking about and itâs insanely dumb. These are long games so itâs hard to know whatâs specifically coming but Iâve been so surprised by how well this game is handling itself so far that even knowing that spoiler before it released hasnât stopped me from being impressed with it. That thing is really bad though.
Oh no. Iâve been feasting on Xenoblade 3 for days and have been really happy with what feels like a hard course correction from Xenoblade 2. I did hear that the ending was weak â definitely a stormcloud in the distance, but Iâm enjoying myself more than enough to keep trucking
@âtreefroggyâ#p80592 Iâve got both the Saturn and Mega Drive controllers. Iâve only started using them recently but they feel so nice in the hands and just the right weight too.
I've got the Mega Drive one plugged into my Analogue Sg and it works a charm. It's comfortable for Master System games too - I just need to remember that I can only use a couple of buttons on it for those.
Similarly I find the Saturn controller super comfortable too though I haven't used that as much. I intend to use it for fighting games on PC too - I have a 10 year old potato desktop at the moment but intend on upgrading in the nearish future to either a laptop or mini PC that I can connect to my living room TV and play everything on that. Great controllers both of them.
Alright, granted you need to be somewhat familiar with _Xenoblade 2_ to understand _just_ how ugly and deranged this is, but here goes nothing: >![upl-image-preview url=https://i.imgur.com/TppltR0.jpeg]!<
@â2501â#p80632 hahahahahaha well i put about 75 hours into Xenoblade 2, and that image you just shared is more or less what i feared/expected. thank you. absolute absurdity.
Iâm still taking it in tbh, just astonished that they would go there and confounded/repulsed by the implications. Canât really figure how I can talk myself into being interested in a âseriousâ story that the heterosexual middle-aged dudes who wrote this have to tell about love, sexuality and gender! (Well actually, I can tell you it brings new perspective to the fact that that story casts compulsory heterosexual unions as the key to giant robot powers and that one of the first major villains you encounter is a one-dimensional camp gay stereotype.) Also makes me more alarmed than ever about Soraya Sagaâs disappearance from the games industry after having Tetsuya Takahashiâs children.
I have done a good job of not working out what youâre all talking about, but perhaps you can answer this:
As a person who
a) fell off 1 halfway through because it get a bit tedious and I didnât love the world enough for that to carry me
b) just didnât touch 2 at all because of what I perceived distantly as a lotta gross creepy bullshit
c) is trying to be quite choosy now
In light of whatever it is people are talking about, Should I
d) play this game?
e) even if Iâd like this game, give these people money by buying it?
@âSalloumiâ#p80648 I would say no, you probably just donât need to play any of them. Thereâs so much more stuff out there youâd probably be more excited about!
One extremely funny thing to me is that the original Xenoblade had a woman from Nintendo in the writerâs room who cautioned Monolith Softâs male writers to rewrite some of the gameâs love scenes because they came off âa little creepyâ. She does not work with them anymore.
