That latest NZ election was disastrous, I hope you all can sort it out soon enough.
One positive of a 3 year election cycle, I suppose.
How is everyone’s anti capitalist boycotting going so far for 2025?
I have made it a lifestyle / it’s my family culture but I’m going to be challenged when I move in with my partner who goes to target and shit all the time.
Would love to discuss tips for circumventing capitalist systems and answer any questions cause I’m second generation off-grid anti capitalist in practice.
Though I must admit I have no abstained from messenger or Instagram or Twitter yet. Instagram especially but I have cut out about 25 hours/year by using an app that forces me to wait 5 seconds before opening Instagram every single time.
I use them to communicate, and recently contacted old friends in the PNW to get no answer yet because they are probably boycotting the service. It’s sad to see what was once an optimistic future of connectivity of our youth break down into what feels like the most disconnected we’ve been in a while. Losing touch with old friends is sad. Maybe somethings coming and Shits about to be a lot more like Death Stranding than we thought possible.
Anyways I think the corporations are most desperate now because they do see a worldwide awakening taking place and more and more people are spending less which really does take their power. I think we should be celebrating more the success of boycotting, but at the same time the corps are making record profits I guess so maybe too soon.
Anyways I digress. This was rambly, I’m typing on my phone.
Anyways: the less federal taxes you pay the less that’s going directly to the fucking war machine. Time to start brewing Meade.
they should make the Curb Your Enthusiasm end credits song the new national anthem

Thank you everyone for voting, and a very special thank you to @RubySunrise for your comment regarding my avatar choice.
Here’s 12 minutes of Bandit to keep you all smiling:
And an insight of what my life is like at home!
I’ve watched a number of Bluey clips since you posted it. I’m such a sucker for cute things
I’m glad Bluey and her family can make you smile. I’m at the point where I watch it more than my boys do haha Sometimes you need to watch or read or listen to something with the simple purpose of making you smile and Bluey does that for me.
We’ll be going to this in April.
That looks fantastic and I hope you all have a wonderful time!
I am playing this now.
It seems that a few people here are. It’s good. I liked it even though I never got used to the combat. I’m a simple man and like just running around a looking for treats and secrets.
Monster sells well water. We have sunk so low that people are hyping water, from a well, in a can.
I feel like one of the last folks in the US that still drinks tap water and uses water fountains liberally. Always been a big free water guy for sure.
Also, I grew up on well water and it always smelled kind of like poop but tasted fine. Definitely wouldn’t pay for it.
Some cities have good tap water, others don’t. Generally pro tap water but Phoenix water is nasty
Is that because of drought or something? I remember the tap water in Vegas being terrible but that’s where I’ve done most of my southwest US traveling. Even in Southern California I didn’t think it was that bad. I’m in the Midwest and the tap water here is generally good, especially where I live. Would be crazy to suddenly have to go without
My town has water from an aquifer so it’s filtered through a lot of earth and it pretty good. Western washington where I lived for 26 years has water from snow and glacier melt from the mountains and was also good. Those are the only places I’ve lived so I’m not familiar with bad water.
That’s a good question. Without looking it up, I want to say no because Phoenix gets its water from salt river which isn’t affected by drought at the moment like the Colorado. I think it has more to do with the mineral content of the water than the infrastructure, but anecdotally I’ve noticed the water out east tastes better than the water out west so I’m not sure what’s going on.
I’ll also add that I don’t seem to be the only one who feels this way about Phoenix tap water. The “fill your own 5 gallon jugs” thing is pretty popular here whereas I only ever saw the health food freaks do it in the Midwest.
Good info. Unironically find this whole thing very interesting. I think if anyone i know here does the jug thing they keep it a secret. I did just look it up and I’m 15 miles north of a spring, so maybe I should go see if I can get some bomb ass water one of these days
