Also thanks for letting me know that I’ve gone too far. Part of having autism or at least how it affects my experience of social situations is that I don’t understand social cues. I’ve seen other people understand them and I can kind of emulate them but since I can’t experience social cues I’m like ChatGPT guessing with some degree of confidence but I read the room wrong enough for it to be a problem in social situations like forum. If you feel the need to correct me in these situations, even if you think it might sting a little bit it’ll probably be ok. I might get butt hurt about it but I won’t post about and I’ll in usually a short amount of time get over it and understand that social situations is just going to be a life long learning process for me and this is just part of the process. In my own weird way I care about you folks and I don’t want to give you too bad of a time.

This is what Berlusconi attempted and he failed miserably. Trump may be able to win and force Project 2025, but I’d be good if people start acting revolting against it or judges say something against it (I don’t believe Democrats will do anything for the US).
My feeling is that the US is so neoliberally-minded that I feel people will continue this until they realize they’re in deep shit.
As an Spaniard (since we are in the same headspace), I’m truly scared since I know we will be one of the next once our ruling party fades out.

Maybe. But I feel we are past the era of capital ruling out since the value of the labor force has faded out, and what remains is the issue of control.

If I had that much foresight I would have made smarter investment decisions….and I’d use the dividends to buy everyone on the forum an Oled steam deck which is the only thing we can truly rely on in these trying times

Also the active revolting with just be met by martial law. Courts have no tool force their rulings on a president that won’t listen and Congress won’t impeach and remove him. He’s already threatened it more than once so you know it’s on his mind

I don’t. I’m of the Potawatomi tribe, out the keepers of the fire. One of three tribes part of the anishinaabe. Gaaagins(sp?) here is Ojibwe I believe another member of that nation. We a were forced marched multiple times from the Great Lakes region around Chicago. To different parts of the southern Midwest. My family history is that a few hid in the glacier formed swamps of Michigan and my grandfather was raised in those swamps. His family came out later and joined Leopoldo Pokagon who led the pokagon tribe of Potawatomi. He worked as a welder in the Michigan train industry. He lived to be 96.
I some of that might not hold up to scrutiny this is an oral family history so dates and whether Leopoldo was even alive then might not be factually correct.

I don’t know if there is “a plan,” broadly speaking. Certainly things are happening locally and countless people are working tirelessly in thankless efforts to stymie the harm, but for all intents and purposes there is no American Left and it’s hard to imagine the anemic Democratic Party taking up that mantle OR wielding power effectively were they to stumble into it once more. Our institutions, corroded as they are, are still engrained enough to make it incredibly hard for third party to break through. Speaking personally, I am bracing for a Republican Reich for quite some time. I hope I’m wrong of course, but just trying to be realistic.
