Around the World in a tbd # of days

Brampton, Ontario -> Montréal, Québec

Departing CNC3 just after 1400 local time. Winds NW at 12 mph, temp 31 degrees F, light rain mixed with flurries, visibility poor.

the one and only glimpse of blue sky

not the best view of Toronto, unfortunately

Flight plan took us along the northern coast of Lake Ontario, until we met the St. Lawrence River, then followed it all the way to Montreal

visibility remained quite poor, and temps dropped about 20 degrees. Didn't experience any icing effects thankfully

the conditions on approach. Enduring the taunts and jeers of the cackling haters during the nervy descent

made it just fine however

Flight Time - 2:16
Distance - 310 NM
Fuel Burn - 312 KG

if we are going full realism, will you feel the need to circumnavigate situations like an explosion at the [niagra border crossing](https://www.nytimes.com/live/2023/11/22/nyregion/rainbow-bridge-explosion-niagara-falls), assuming they would restrict airspace?

this particular situation seems nbd, but it did make me wonder

Cold and dark for preflight checks

Sun rising just in time for departure at 0623 local time

Took advantage of the relative clear conditions to do some sightseeing in Montreal

passenger making note of Olympic Stadium, former home of the dearly departed Expos - largely unsuccessful team that nevertheless featured a number of the coolest players in MLB history (Dawson, Raines, Vlad, Pedro, etc.), and of course Youppi! - the exclamation point is part of his name.

Also stopped by the Biosphere, the name of which we momentarily had confused with Pauly Shore's Bio-dome

Heading NW up the St Lawrence River. Despite the cold and somewhat windy conditions, it was a peaceful early AM flight

Pretty relaxing flight over to Charlottetown from Quebec City. We didn‘t have a lot of daytime so didn’t do much sightseeing, plus ATC had us flying at 13,000 ft most of the way so not much to see other than clouds.

Note we‘ve ditched the cargo pod. We’ll need to fly as light as possible to make it the Azores

mentioned this on another stream but we have an add-on that injects irl air traffic into the game, so that Air Canada Rouge A320 represents a real flight boarding at Quebec City

thats a fancy ass hotel

OK so the important thing is that no one was hurt. But a minor incident occurred while taxiing prior to departure. I am confident that the FAA investigation will conclude that it was the controller's fault.

basically what happened was the aircraft was taxiing just a little too fast because, it could be argued, certain passengers were being pushy about seeing Anne of Green Gables's house. This was more implied than said, but still, the argument could be made.

The front gear got bent and then we apparently damaged a Pitot tube on the runway. It happened pretty fast and this is the best screenshot I could get, but the Pitot damage makes sense if it clipped the asphalt as the plane pitched forward.

The Pitot tube is this doohicky here

we also somehow damaged the Horizontal Stability Indicator which is this thing

Luckily no serious damage but we had to pay full price because I forgot to take out insurance in this plane

took a small hit to our reputation but whatever

Went ahead and bought insurance. Still cheaper premium than a Hyundai these days am I right

I spilled my tea!!!

no refunds

I‘m glad no one was hurt. I forgot to get up on time so I went to Pat O’Malley's Jet Room to eat and look at planes.

@“DaveedNoo”#p142467 I haven’t been to Oshkosh since I was a kid, I should get back there one of these years
