My tea preferences change like the wind, but presently I think I’d have to say a nice and toasty genmaicha.
Some kind of green. I also like genmai cha and buy it loose from an asian market. I also like rooibos a lot and it’s nice that it’s not caffeinated.
When connecting cables to a widescreen TV, do you instinctually check for the connection ports on its left or right side
- Left
- Right
Sometimes they are underneath or on the back!
darjeeling first flush made correctly is the best tea imo
I feel like the power button is generally on the right side and there’s usually not ports next to the controls so I check the left. Or maybe it’s just me favoring my left side because I’m left handed. If there’s branching routes in a game I take the far left every time.
what’s the name of that indie side scrolling rpg from a year or two ago that has that odd patchwork of art styles and weird stats? It reviewed well and was described as a don’t write it off because it looks weird kind of thing
astlibra?
yeah that’s the one tyvm
did any of y’all norhtern folks saw the aurora??? some of my feeds where filled with auroras and it made me feel excluded cause i am far too south lol
Not visible for me in chicago, possibly due to city lights everywhere
Most of my friends saw it. Quite vibrant photos! I was tired and fell asleep as it was cloudy.
We tried to see it in Saskatoon but it was a bit cloudy, and we didn’t really get out of the city. Looked a lot more impressive in the picture we took than what we say with our eyes. But we still saw something, which was nice for our first time.
All my friends were posting from Vancouver (where we just moved from) with all these crazy photos which made my wife real jealous, but then I talked to my friend and he said that, while in the pictures it looked super colourful, in real life it was mostly pretty pale.
Apparently even in the city here you can often see it for real, but last night just happened to be a bit of a bust. Next time, with a little more preparation, we might try to drive a little ways further north and see what we can see.
Are there any businesses local to you that you’re certain are fronts for money laundering or some other illicit activity?
does the provincial government count as a business
I wouldn’t go anywhere near as far as to say I’m certain about this, but there is an incredibly large number of barber shops in my town. Many of them sprung up within the same couple year period. They have a lot of people working at them but rarely seem busy, normally they are just standing around chatting.
Now I know a lot of people have hair and often want some of it cut off, and maybe I just happen to notice these shops during quiet periods, but it really seems like there are just too many of these around.
I wanted to pick one of these up but they don’t let you order from Canada through the web store; you have to phone them up. Also the shipping I’ve been paying on purchases from the US have been literally killing me, and I am dying (no I’m not).
For any other Canadian posters looking for an effective duster: I ordered two of these with a bottle of lanolin detergent and they came in this week. They’ve brought the relief I’ve been after, after all these years wrestling with how to dust. I never wanted to settle for a swiffer because of all the waste those produce, and wiping things down with a damp cloth is tedious. Feather dusters just toss it all in the air. These seem pretty good at wiping down surfaces no matter how greebled, and then I spin them outside to release the dust they’ve captured. It’s very cool. I wish I’d known about them sooner.
Does anyone else get upset thinking about how obfuscated looking after yourself and your living space is made by capitalism trying to sell you disposable, ineffective products made in a factory nowhere near you to replace things that have been around forever that they make pretty much at home? I hate it.
