if you have a love of or at least tolerance for Sofia Coppola‘s style, i strongly recommend A Very Murray Christmas on netflix. i’ve watched it every year since it came out. you get to hang out with Bill Murray for a while in a nice hotel, which is all i've ever wanted.

I just watched tokyo godfathers for the first time. Wow! What a ride. I knew nothing about it going in and it was just a really special movie.

@milo#11071 I know I had seen it in the mid 2000's getting into Satoshi Kon stuff, but then like 2 years ago it was streaming for free and me and my best friend watched it on our annual hang out on Xmas day eat snacks and watch movies thing. And yeah, all the stuff about like, chosen family, hit me like a bus. Always glad to hip people to that movie.

I‘m a little late to this but with The Firemen and Raw Danger and others, I’m kinda thinking maybe a lot of these were christmas games because of Die Hard!? there are some similar themes, and without any actual knowledge of the situation it makes a lot of sense to me!
