We have to get on that! I mean Christmas isn’t Christmas without Christmas NiGHTS into Dreams. It’s just another holiday, like Easter or Night of the Radishes.
I have played almost 100 hours of Final Fantasy XIV and I don’t know if I could name more than five of the characters…
i have this problem too where i was INVESTED in ff14 a few years during a period of …low employment and mainlined it up to the end of stormblood. part of me wants to pick it back up and keep going cuz i was LOVING IT but i would have absolutely no idea who any of the people are or why they are doing anything and that kinda bums me out. it wouldn’t be as simple as reading a (probably long) plot summary because of all the side stories and characters i met along the way, let alone relearning all the gameplay and systems from scratch. great game tho, wish my life had room for it
also my actual confession i came here for is i was super excited for the playdate and preordered it day one and so now i have it and then i spilled some tea or juice on it and forgot and now the left arrow doesn’t work!! so i just never use it, and i asked Panic about repairs or something like a year ago and never followed up so i’m sure it’s out of warranty anyway. also the screen looks great under the right light but i am highly highly against overhead lighting and live in portland* so direct sunlight is not super plentiful and i just have not been inspired to get it going again (or get a new one?). had a blast with it for the number of months i had a blast with it though.

*the same city panic is in!! it’s overcast here a lot!
I’ve spent almost all of my savings this year buying NeoGeo AES games.
I’ve build a pretty cool collection of 30 games, but I really need to stop this and start saving money again.
Well and even if you did this (considered it myself), without annotated pictures what’s to tell you who’s who between Minfilia, Y’shtola, Biggs, Wedge, Mwrlwyebw, Kam-E Saint-Saëns,
I guess something like this would be the most helpful:
ooh honestly just watching this thing the whole way through might calm that impulse once and for all – the last hour of that video would be spoilers but i dunno if it’s even remotely possible to fit another 500 hours of any game like that into my life (200 of which would probably be triple triad), so
One of these days (but not today) I will probably be willing to confess my AES sins from back in the 90’s but let’s just say… I completely sympathize with this.
Don’t worry, you’ll be getting to the good part soon! :p
Also every time I have a chance to kill or take a bribe from a scumbag in Stalker 2 I always take the bribe then kill them.
I finally got around to playing Indika over the weekend.
This was me @ Indika fetching water from the well.
goty
balatro getting nominated for goty over ufo 50 was actually my black pill
There is definitely some magic in owning those big cartridges. I guess we 40-something grown kids are especially susceptible to it.
I confess that I do not have the correct tools or skills to desolder and replace multi-lead plated through hole components.
I’m down to zero working PS5 controllers.
i must confess i thought you were somehow using a tortilla press to hold your controller and that i have also broken controllers trying to solder pieces back into them
It’s an electronics clamp that is only slightly younger than I am. The fact that the solder sucker I was borrowing from Dad is older than I am may also explain why it was so hard!
When I was playing through the insert credit top 100 games list, the thing that stopped me in my tracks was SOMEHOW getting lost in the introductory level of Killer7. I don’t even know how I did that. But I haven’t gone back to that list since. I also stopped posting here for 18 months.
I’m glad the portal gave you back to us
Sometimes I’ll be watching a twitch stream of a game I’m not familiar with, and totally dismiss the art direction.
“This game looks kinda interesting, but I can’t get into how it looks. What are those colors?” I think to myself.
And then I remember I have a blue light filter on.
