Drum & Bass, House, Techno, Acid, IDM - On & On

@antillese While not really a perfect match, “liquid drum&bass” might get you close, at least to the first of those two tracks. Scroll up this thread a bit to my earlier post where I linked a couple of 24/7 youtube streams from the label Hospital Records. The first of those is their liquid stream, put it on for a few tracks and see what you think.

@antillese I highly encourage you to look into Soichi Terada's other work if you haven’t heard it, he’s amazing! I listened to Omodaka for over a decade before just realizing earlier this year that it’s the same person who did the Ape Escape ost. Check out this tocotoco documentary if you haven’t seen it:

As long as I’m mentioning Omodaka:

This is a big one, if you dont have the time I recommend listening for the kill bill remix (its in the first 3mins).

I will post some Six Impala later.

I just remembered this remix that Camo & Krooked did of Lana Del Rey’s West Coast. I have no real like of the original, but this version was great.

Also, not what one would expect from a pair that have been known for releasing real “bangers”.

(this track is real chill, I recommend people give it a quick listen)

six impala they‘re a little more techno/electronic than what’s already in here. They also got a vocaloid at some point.

@beets The part starting at 0:30 in this mix so very strongly sounds like Front Line Assembly to me. I know the track listing says it isn't (pretty sure it is the D.Dan track) but it just has that …. texture.

Very different genres, though! FLA are pioneers in Industrial and EBM and quite far from techno. I suppose every now and then boundries fade away when you just want to bust out a trusty old 303 and futz about with that triangle

those six impala kids know how to use a mf compressor

posting a verified classic

@kory I watched this and it was delightful. I‘ve got some Amazon digital credits - I’m going to see if I can get some of his albums.

Pretty great drum & bass heavy OST for a Europe-only PSX game, compiled by Simon Carless:

Not sure if @tomjonjon was alluding to this in the title of this thread, but if not, it deserves to be here anyway.

Absolutely one of my favourite songs ever.

…what

@beets I was and it does!

I remember coming across this track years ago, suprised it‘s hasn’t got many listens.

pretty good music, really good youtube channel

I found this to be a enjoyable write up on Aphex Twin’s Selected Ambient Works Vol 1 for its 30th anniversary.

I hope this isn’t too basic but I listen to a lot of Underworld:

“Crocodile / Beautiful Burnout” from Oblivion with Bells

Also this:

I’ve been listening to this recently, pretty chilled out stuff

awwwwhawhaw yeaahhhh
