Drum & Bass, House, Techno, Acid, IDM - On & On

Here are a few tracks I’ve had in heavy rotation:

I have something of a love/hate relationship with Drum and Bass, though when it hits it hits hard.

I love the hazy d&b elements that Daedalus works into the Nidhogg ost:

Would you like to chiil

..or antichill(?)

@kory#33738 I played that game a while back - never realized Daedalus was on the soundtrack.

Picked up SAW 1, Music Has the Right to Children, and Tri Repetae on vinyl recently. Glad to finally be able to listen to Tri Repetae “complete with surface noise” after all these years hearing it “incomplete without surface noise”. All three albums hold up imo, probably my top 3 albums of the 90s in one order or another.

@“tomjonjon”#p33937 yeah, he did the whole ost for the first game and it’s fantastic. He has one track on the second game’s ost (also amazing) though most tracks were done by Mux Mool. The whole Nidhogg 2 ost is pretty great, though, glad I was able to get it on vinyl. Also has a track by Geotic!

@“MichaelDMcGrath”#p33939 I really enjoyed Syro…still think of it as “new” even though I just realized it was released about seven years ago! Track 3 was probably my favorite, I’m usually more of a downtempo person.

@“dicegame”#p33971 I like this.

@“MichaelDMcGrath”#p33939 I bought several Aphex Twin albums on vinyl right as the pandemic kicked in. I like having them on wax but part of me feels like all this kind of music should be heard on CD. Oh well.

@“tomjonjon”#p33937 His track on the Flywrench OST also bangs (again, whole album is excellent though)

this whole album has been rocking my shit since i heard it https://youtu.be/N93RPMb3CIE

@“dicegame”#p33995 Luke Vibert has such a varied discography. I'll check this out.

@“tomjonjon”#p33997 i have recently been going through the luke vibert discography. so much heat. https://youtu.be/mmi6dDrkNBY

@“dicegame”#p33999 love this

Not his best work but it doesn't seem right to talk Aphex Twin on a video game forum without mention of this:

@captain#34025 absolutely! I dig the ghost mix as well.

I don't think I had the musical genre vocabulary to describe these tracks, but I really like this kind of music. These are my go-tos for this kind of mood.

I'm already enjoying some of the other music posted here. Is there a search term I could use on Amazon Music to get a station - I don't have Spotify. 😛
