Electronic Entertainment Expo (1995-2021)

I've started this up so people can share their memories. I'm not in The Industry but here's some stuff.

The Insert Credit community is rendered speechless by the loss of E3.

that would make it Th Insrt Crdit community

I think it's cool that we have footage from the floor of E3 1995.

# _Can love bloom... even on the battlefield?_

I'm sad that I never got a chance to go to E3, and now that I have the means to, even if they do bring it back next year, it will never be what it was.

We have PAX and stuff, but there's no event in the US quite like E3. Maybe I'll save up and go to the Tokyo Game Show sometime.

What I will remember most about E3 are the vide ogames.

I think… I saw long hair pre-Gakctified Tim Rogers roaming the floor with a pack of filthy NGJ fiends. I could be wrong…

I went to E3 in 2005 when I was 20. This meant I couldn‘t drink in restaurants and bars because the age to drink The Good Stuff is 21. I want to preface the next bit by saying I am not an alcoholic so it wasn’t like I was desperately trying to track down a drop but I did find one guy manning a Corona cart outside the Unreal Championship 2 booth and he did not give a heck about ID so me and a friend sat watching UC2 for longer than we intended while we had six Coronas each. Good memory.

That was the year you could see fraud/money laundering take place in front of your eyes at the huge Gizmondo booth. One bit had a car and four very Californian models posing and I have never seen a place so crowded with men.

I played Shadow the Hedgehog.

Didn‘t E3 get canceled years ago? No, I’m being completely serious. I thought it has been dead for ages.

@“Chopemon”#p111467 Shadow the Hedgehog

@“hellomrkearns”#p111482 double tap. Sweet release.

@“hellomrkearns”#p111482 This is why Violence Island has him… Shadow banned.

Has any video game media outlet been around as long as Electric Playground? Pretty cool that they make available their old episodes.

@“hellomrkearns”#p159176 The Tommy Tallarico-ness of it all is a real shame, but man I have fond memories of watching EP coming up.

@“whatsarobot”#p159208 Vic sounds like a really good guy, so it's mixed feeling for sure.
