Moms everywhere love a good beefcake
I got some good laughs out of this one. Jaffe‘s idea that you’re collecting bounties on monsters makes so much sense I'm amazed most games never went out and said it!!!
get some lady and a big guy with a mildly complicated personality out on the moors and you‘re in business with the mom demo. Get some sumptious period costumes and horses going and it’s $$$
@“Syzygy”#p81134 ooooops
@“yeso”#p81142 yeah, jaffe did it weird but that doesn't surprise me! god darned east coasters

Just reading this is making me swoon in anticipation

@“esper”#p81083 HelloMrKearns asks: What is the Mitsuoka Le-Seyde of video games? (41:28)
lol. I forgot I asked this. Apologies for a question that works bad on radio.
The interesting thing with the the Mitsuoka Le-Seyde is that it looks like [that](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsuoka_Le-Seyde#/media/File:Mitsuoka_Le-Seyde.jpg), but it's based on the [Nissan Silvia S13](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Silvia#S13). I should have explained that aspect in the question.

@“esper”#p81083 Ash: Endling: Extinction Is Forever
I also misheard 'furrier' as 'furry'. Franks immediate reaction of "WHAT?" got me good.
question: how does lois lane survive what? I don't get the reference
@“yeso”#p81169 it's about her having sex with Superman.
thanks
Just to get ahead of it, I had nothing to do whatsoever with Brandon's answer to my second question and I disavow its Mathew Kumar provocation aims

@“BluntForceMama”#p81119 say BluntForceMama out loud…
I honestly cracked up at this. I've definitely at some point connected the joke of your handle but it was enhanced hearing it out loud.
@"Snowdecahedron"#p81125 yeah in Ace Attorney >!Damon Gant!< is a sinister villain. I mean the whole series is really just a series of failures of the justice system that you are tasked with fixing by pointing out when someone says left instead of right.
In a similar vein, I've been playing the second AI: The Somnium Files game (which is the new set of games by the Zero Escape team), and I'm struggling to suspend my disbelief on some of the policing in this game. It's basically a sci-fi detective scenario, but some of the moment to moment plot beats have a whiff of extrajudiciousness. I'm still enjoying the game. Something I've seen said is that good cops in media are just like good cops in real life: fictional. It's true if not much comfort.

I had a bit of a feeling of being caught with my pants down upon realizing that this episode was taken from that forum thread. Almost like the stuff that goes on in there shouldn't be brought to the light. Very fun episode though.
My dad generally just kinda likes video games and would probably play something based on most tv shows if you handed it to him. The only show I remember my mom watching a lot of was Game of Thrones, which is probably good because my dad is a bit of a Tolkien nut.
@“Gaagaagiins”#p81182 You’re good, the most provoking part of the episode was the lack of respect for Jingle All The Way. Phil Hartman kills in it as Arnie’s neighbourhood housewife fucker.
Thanks again for being a bright spot at the beginning of my work weeks.
There's an [episode of Columbo](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071346/) based around a murder at a military academy that I think could be adapted into a mystery/tactical game to satisfy brandon's parents. I can imagine you playing as Columbo and re-playing the same field over and over to figure out where the various parties were during the murder, with a bonus encounter with the school's head on his large playing field in his office.
The CD in Sonic CD clearly means Chaos Defender!
I don't know what my mom's favorite show is _exactly_. She's liked some good ones through the years but those aren't fun to reference. My dad was into gaming for a while and then kind of got out of playing games by the 16-bit era. Old school arcade games and the like were really his jam. I'm going to say the 1987 Desperado TV movie done in the style of Hogan's Alley or the Commando arcade game.
Fun episode!
Oh, being an annoying parent is one of my favorite things. Dabbing when my 12 year olds friends are around in 2022, using Zoomer lingo way after it‘s passé…that’s the good stuff, right there.

@“esper”#p81083 BluntForceMama asks: What is your mom’s favorite TV show, and how would you adapt it into a video game your dad would want to play?
What would a Criminal Minds + Hearts game look like? Would it be something like Dagonronpa where you play hearts to find the killer?
I always sort of considered Red Arremer the cute Capcom mascot, at least pre-servbot.
My biggest issue for Phoenix Wright is that you can conclusively prove your client didn‘t do the murder, airtight defense, but if you still pick an answer wrong your client will still be found guilty and Phoenix will say "well darn I guess that one was really my fault for not doing the police and prosecutor’s job by finding and conclusively proving who the real killer is."
...does that make it more like copaganda or less?
@“vvesley”#p81221 what the heck I want this so badly right now
@"aerisdead"#p81194 I wholeheartedly agree on Jingle All The Way. That and Kindergarten Cop, with a much more serious plot and many of the same character archetypes, are a great duology of Arnold as a civilian faking it as a cop and vice versa respectively. Two cherished flicks
Jingle All The Way is my go to “bad movie” and I love that I‘m not the first one stepping up to go to bat for it!
It feels like it’s written by the Turbo Man manufacturers who aren't people that exist.
oh and what a joy to hear all those recognisable usernames today!
