Very nice episode, great to have the gang back together again! I would have been mad at the multiple British accents at the start of the show, if it wasn't for the extreme ripping of James Corden which always gets my vote.
Also stick clicks are the devils work - they are **H**orrible!
The only stick click that ever bothered me was B / ○ + L3 to jump in a certain game that rhymes with “fart bowls”. Otherwise add 20% more tacticle feedback and we're fine.
for the longest time, i had no idea what L3 and R3 were
some sort of mysterious hidden button hiding in plain sight
but then, click down on the stick, bam! the stick will click
it almost reminds me of computer mice, the way pressing down on the stick sounds
just took a nice morning shower; gonna brush teeth, grab a lil breakfast, smoke a joint, and listen to this insert credit pod
i couldve listened to it last night on patreon a lil early buttt i was too busy playing milk outside a bag of milk outside a bag of milk and drawing (great game, its short and hard to describe, very good atmosphere to it)
random.org uses the old pound, which is good and correct. the new pound is charmless, the old pound felt like there was history in it, like it was the same stuff they used in tudor or roman times or something. of course, that's not true, but it's plainness gave it that feeling (also i think made it very easy to counterfeit).
@“rootfifthoctave”#p137585 I thought you meant the pre decimal pound. When I hear old pound I think of trying to understand old currency and my brain just gives up!
I‘m not sure there’s much of a point in speculating about Activision's satellite studios as (semi-)independent entities at this point. They exist in more in name since all development outside of CoD has essentially been dropped (not announced publicly, but very much the case).
i ate breakfast from mcdonalds and smoked a joint while listenin to this cool pod :3
tim rogers' analogy of microsoft trying to buy activision | blizzard | king with microsoft trying to tell the fcc that "it's a yard sale! there's plenty of other things in here Besides the super valuable thing." (that's not a direct quote, that's how i remember it lol), reminded me of that venture bros ep in season 1 where doc has a yard sale with old his old gadgets and there's a bunch of villains coming to the yard sale to buy his stuff
should probably get those devils blush zines.... they look cool
could be nice for drawing references too, that'd be fun
for question number 4: ok kid, you've gotta check out these fellas called nitrome. they've got some pretty great stuff. icebreaker: a viking voyage and gunbrick, both highly recommended. they've got other free, smaller arcade like games that are also great; go pogo, magic touch, and rust bucket are all great.
cardinal quest 2, thats a great roguelite to play on your phone, for free, you dont even need to sweat any of the in app transactions (unless you wanna support em of course) because the currency you ear is dulled out in a way to allow meta progression pretty easily.
vvvvvv, that one works pretty great on phone honestly, its such a wonderful small game that gives a wonderful sense of adventure and exploration in a nice way
already looking forward to next weeks episode, feels nice to be on the insert credit train
I like to imagine if Henry David Thoreau were dropped in Concord, Massachusetts in 2023, he'd see that huge wheel of cheese and give up on the whole living alone, in the woods, a mile from any neighbor, in a house which he built himself, on the shore of Walden Pond, earning a living by the labor of his hands only thing
