Is there a Johnny Cash’s Hurt of video games? There might be some remakes that become a definitive edition, but this would be something different, right? Can it even exist, in an industry so concerned with “intellectual property” that “covers” can’t really exist on any kind of scale? Freshly awake and only a few sips into my coffee, I can’t think of any remakes that even come close to the transformative nature of Cash’s Hurt, but maybe someone else can!
