That’s almost certainly the same venture capitalist at the helm!! what a travesty.
Haven’t been able to stop thinking about an IO developed Final Fantasy game since hearing the episode.
A Hitman level during the Battle of Chi Bi could be so good
I wrote down a response to what the Hurt of video games is, but I forgot it, so I’ll just say that the Wolfenstein franchise had a moment like this when id Software remade Castle Wolfenstein as Wolfenstein 3D. It took a generally well-known 80s game and made such a compelling switch of genre that within a few years people knew Wolfenstein 3D more than the original.
I 100% thought that iFruit in GTAV was a gay joke, because it’s a rockstar game
I’ve had two ghost kitchen mishaps in my life. Not as strange as the multiple pizza places thing, but amusing in their own way. The first time I had never heard of the concept of ghost kitchens, so I ordered delivery for a little event. It was fried chicken or something like that from what I thought was a new restaurant. It showed up in a Hooters bag! Humiliating but amusing and the food was alright for what it was.
Another time, I was sick and just wanted someone to make dinner for me so I ordered some sandwich and soup thing from again, a restaurant that I thought was new. Instead of Hooters, this time it showed up in a Denny’s bag. I don’t really know why, but where Hooters was funny this was devastating. Like at least Hooters is a funny story, Denny’s is just a garbage tier spot with no redeeming qualities. Ordering uber eats delivery from Denny’s is an all-time sicko move and it didn’t feel good. The food was extremely bad as well.
Hey now, let’s not go slandering one of America’s great institutions
Look, I’m not above Denny’s. Many a late drunken night ended up there in my youth. I guess no redeeming qualities isn’t true because it’s open late, but it’s an extremely bad restaurant in all other faculties lol
any obtuse adventure game is pretty fun to play in a group.
I’m thinking of replaying Yakuza 0 in front of my friends who have not played it and then just passing them the controller.
I drove by a place called Pho Gyu the other day
It’s not a Grand Theft Auto style name but the funniest business name I ever seen in my life was a health food store in Winnipeg called ENTER HERE TO GET WELL
There’s a barber shop in my city called Goodfellas, which is not clever or anything, but I think it’s hilarious that they’ve been allowed to keep that name for at least two decades.
this korean food truck in town is apparently real good but i’m always like… man
also this one i keep driving past that has a wikipedia article! i didn’t realize how many pdx restaurants had articles there??? anyway i mean, i don’t think it’s purposefully a sweary phrase, cuz it’s the guy’s name but Phở Kim - Wikipedia
also also sad to announce that there is a restaurant in australia named Pho Queue https://www.phoqueue.com.au/
god there’s so many here.

this one i hate and seems very gta https://www.instagram.com/tighttacos
also i think i saw in bremerton WA , if i remember right, a pet grooming shop called Doggystyle :(
I hate this slant rhyme! I bet they originally named it is “Kim Jong Grill” then when Kim Jong-il died, they changed the pun to be for Kim Jong Un.
if any entrepreneurs are reading this, if you wanna open a ramen shop in seattle called Spice Noodle, that’s a freebie from me to you
100% yes. I wonder how he would handle having a kid in the back of the room making sex moans during his lesson (is it widely known that kids do this now? In elementary school? Because nobody warned me when I started teaching 7 years ago)
Giant Robo rules. I would also recommend the tokusatsu adaptation! There’s a US DVD by Mill Creek which unfortunately only contains the english dubbed version, Johnny Sokko and His Flying Robot, but the dub has its charm (I think Johnny is played by the same lady that dubbed the kid in Godzilla vs Megalon?) and miraculously for the time, none of the actual content of the show seems to be edited at all. There are some shockingly grisly deaths for something that was marketed to american children in the 60s
