Just going to leave this here:

World Rally, by Gaelco (as opposed to Jaleco)

It could also be Neo Drift Out, but I reckon you’d remember that one.

RE Tim’s belief that there has never been an international-level motor race held in New York City, Formula E held ten races in Brooklyn between 2017 and 2022.

'Nother great ep!

There aren’t any games I can’t find/remember from times past, but there is this one elusive short-lived cereal I was obsessed with as a kid circa early/mid-'90s, and still can’t find the name of for the life of me. It was a corn based cereal in little squares filled with a pop tart like jelly-type substance, and I’m not sure if it’s the best cereal I’ve ever had or if I just think that because I only got to enjoy two boxes of it in my lifetime.

Also, I have a retro active death note out for Driving Miss Daisy now that it’s stolen an Oscar from Do the Right Thing AND defeated Driver in the wiki shootout.

Great start to the day, always nice to have the gang back together and especially Jaffe busting out 90s Canadian Rap!

What games would you add to Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz’s Dreamcast library?

ChuChu Rocket! - Not only should everyone have a copy, but multiplayer would be a great way to resolve political issues.

For the birthday question;

Metal Gear Solid V. If you return to your base on your birthday (which you enter at the beginning), you get a special cutscene:

Tim if it is in your apartment building it is by definition not a public restroom. I expect correction to be issued.

I should’ve mentioned it’s pseudo 3D!

@freakscene I don’t know what his apartment building is like but some have shops on the ground floor, so it’s totally possible!

@Jaffe - The options chosen for today’s Lightning Round were diabolically good, last one made me evil-cackle

Real fun episode! I just wanted to mention that if anyone loved the Wikipedia Shootout segment as much as I did and wants to play it themselves, someone did actually turn this exact concept into a game! Not sure if Tim knew about this or not when proposing the segment, but WikiArena on Steam and itch.io is basically exactly this with some different game modes and it supports a bunch of languages. It’s pretty fun!

I just remembered that Pictochat on the DS plays a little theme and displays a message if you enter into a room on your birthday.

So the best game, as always, is conversation!

The real question unanswered is: is a bathroom in a private business truly public?

My friends and i have a group chat since 2013 where we review bathrooms. We rate toilet paper quality, stall space, toilet seat type, flush strength, overall cleanliness, acessories (bag holder, etc)

We do not share them in social media etc because it’s a restricted club and we don’t wanna make good public toilets known. HOWEVER

If you’re ever in Sao Paulo the highest rating bathroom is from Japan House, a japanese museum/art gallery in Avenida Paulista that has one of those hi tech toilets with all sorts of stuff.

You 100% did, I just heard “pseudo 3D” and promptly forgot as soon as you said “rally” and “Jaleco”.

Anyways, think I found it?

I’d never heard of it, but I’m going to give it a bash for sure. Love me some super scaler driving games.

Yeah! Big run! That is it. I got close with buggy run lol

It’s not a great game but it is really trying to push its limits and the sort of chunky deliberateness of it gives it a kind of interesting friction.

I like to think he offered his students the opportunity to gain an entire letter grade if they could best his Lizardman in two rounds of Soul Caliber at the end of the school year.

In my mind it’s his Magneto/Cyclops/Sentinel team in MvC2

I would love to purchase retro videogames from local mom n pop stores but I live in a mega block co-owned by The Disney Corporation and Rupert Murdoch. Got any advice?
