Putting my reply to @treefroggy’s post here. My top FF endings, no order:
- IX (ugly crying time)
- VIII (still technically dazzling and the home movie was super cute)
- VII (classic stinger)
Oh shit, it’s just the PSX entries. I’ll add one more
- I (A CRYSTAL SHINES WITHIN EVERY HEART)
For that matter, Stranger of Paradise sticks its landing with aplomb, silencing haters everywhere.
Honourable mention to the high five at the end of X, and FFXIII’s which was just a very satisfying happy ending that those characters deserve and earned. No I haven’t played the sequels yet.
