Forum outage

Hi all,

Now the forums are back online, we’ll post more when we’ve got a full root cause analysis completed.

Regarding the outage,

@shane had put in place a process to combat all the bot scraping that has been causing the issues with forum performance, which hadn’t fully updated and had to get pushed again to complete. It’s now in place and in turn we should all see a lot less of the heavy load notification.

If anyone does, please let us know here

Before this closes, I wanted to get some general feedback from anyone if they have received the heavy load warning since the update:

Please post if you have seen it since the forum went down and if possible, a rough time when you saw it. I’ve unlocked the thread just for replying.

I saw the message a few times in the week or two before the outage, but I haven’t seen it since then.
