@“sosadillatron”#p148351 I’d take the Burnout Revenge and Quake 4 guides.

@“tomjonjon”#p148399 Cool. Put them to the side for you.

Neat! I've got a bookcase of random old strategy guides and MK Deception is one of the only MK games I'm missing. I'll gladly paypal you for shipping for it. I'd take Fable, Smackdown vs. Raw, GoldenEye Rogue Agent, and Unreal Tournanet III too. Thanks!

@“Osu 16 Bit”#p148412 Cool! I'll put those aside for you as well.

I'll get back to you about shipping in the next day or so. :)

@“sosadillatron”#p148397 If you want to pull Spartan from my stack and give it to @exodus go right ahead. I'm already getting a lot from you as it is.

@“Toph”#p148474 no, it‘s fine! Keep all the ones you snagged, it just wasn’t in the “claimed” pile when I looked at the list.

I‘m sorry everyone. I thought I’d get to this ASAP but got side tracked. This is why I am a terrible seller of stuff (and this time I am giving stuff away! :stuck_out_tongue: ).

If everyone could PM me their addresses, I'll prioritize putting these packages together and figuring out shipping. Thanks!

I went to the post office today and they were quoting me prices around $20 for shipping. I wanted to double back and make sure that these guides are still worth that cost of shipping (because that was more than I thought it was going to cost).

I'm sorry. I am terrible at this part of the process. :(

@sosadillatron - I missed when this went up last week, but if Republic Commando, Enthusia, Unreal Championship 2, and whatever that one is that says “motorsport” (presumably original forza?) underneath jade empire there, are all still available, I‘d love to give those a home if it’s not too late! Happy to pay for shipping.

@“andrewelmore”#p149250 Not too late. I'll set them aside. DM me your address.

@“sosadillatron”#p149245 you should be able to get media mail shipping on all these! That's what you were trying, right?

@“exodus”#p149262 /me slaps own forehead

@“treefroggy”#p128930 I realize this post was from a thousand years ago, but did this ever find a home?

@“andrewelmore”#p149274 I actually really appreciate anyone going back and seeing stuff I still haven’t gotten rid of and hitting me up about it lol. My stuff up for grabs does not necessarily have an experiation date.

I think I have the alien soldier stuff stashed away somewhere

@“exodus”#p149262 media mail doesn’t cover software or game manuals I think.

Just a warning, I know these guidebooks are less valuable so not as big of a deal, but:
In 2020 I sent my original guidebooks and entire collection of extremely valuable and rare, often signed art books and imported video game guide books to my Grammy in Maine. Like the original NP Pokémon guide book I had since I was six years old… had my name written on the cover, it’s the longest I’d _ever held on to anything in my life._ a disgruntled postal worker in Boston removed all the contents of the box and replaced it with coat hangers, which my Grammy received. I also lost all my family photographs and keepsakes like the book my dad made for me when I was a baby.
Might be a one-off thing but just so you know, postal workers are allowed to open up and inspect media mail packages for inspection for any reason, and I learned the hard way it’s not difficult for them to make the contents disappear. Also we did file multiple reports, but save for taking legal action, the poor man loses in the end.

@“treefroggy”#p149281 heck yeah dude. thanks! need to find me a decent repro cart or something.

Also, as to your below recount, holy hell man I'm sorry. That's as frustrating as it is tragic.

@“treefroggy”#p149282 both “books” and “magazines” count as media mail, and I think if any postal employee opened something like this to check they would log it either as “book” or “magazine” so I think it‘s pretty safe! I mean unless they steal it but that’s not something we can control in any regard.

@“treefroggy”#p149282 captain dislikes this

Well with first class or priority you get better protections and tracking. Media mail as the “poor person option” is often abused.

Again I’m sure you are fine in this case, but just warning so no one would send some rarer books that way in the future… yeah there’s not many things I regret in this crazy life of mine where I’ve lost it all multiple times. I’d do it all again. Except for that time I lost precious family relics by sending media mail across the nation in the year 2020 when political corruption had spread to our nations most reliable service! It made me lose trust in what I find to be the most respectable service in our country. I stopped doing eBay sales and don’t even like to think about it anymore! Be careful is all I’m sayin’!!!

Alright! Media Mail is definitely the way to go, price wise (about 8 bucks). I got the first two packages out. I'll get to Tomjonjon and Andrew next.

There are still guides available if anyone wants something from the list. Ignore the original post's expiration date.
