Haven't played it myself, but I noticed the Panzer Dragoon Switch Remake is on a fire sale at [$6.24](https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/panzer-dragoon-remake-switch/)
All the [Switch SEGA AGES](https://www.nintendo.com/games/game-guide/#filter/:q=%22sega%20ages%22%20switch&dFR[platform][0]=Nintendo%20Switch) games (except Puyo Puyo?) seem to be discounted as well
@goonbag#24655 I absolutely loved it, felt like it was over too soon even with the bonus chapter included at the end. In particular, I love the moody atmosphere, which is thanks in no small part to Aubrey Hodges excellent ambient score. The lighting and unique prerendered graphics give it a slightly different overall feel than the original, which I prefer. The level design is also great (and unique to this gameāthese are not just the doom/doom II maps) and I felt like there was less aimless wandering in search of keys compared to the other games. For some reason this was just the perfect early pandemic catharsis for me, highly recommended.
I canāt really speak for the experience of playing mobile (I only played docked), but Iām sure itās worth it. I also have to give credit to the excellent porting/modernization job done by Nightdive Studios on this.
Fortunately buying games from different regionsā stores on console is often as easy as setting up a different region account and buying credit through a third party, no VPN required (although anyone planning to do so should look at proper instructions which I am not in a position to provide). The problem is that third party store credit comes at a (small) premium so unless the deal is really good itās often not worth the trouble (also the credit only comes in certain denominations so it can be hard to buy enough without buying too much)
The friends of ringo Ishikawa is on sale on the eShop (NA) for $8.99. I saw Tim play it for Kotaku a while back and had always been interested in giving it a go. Figured someone else might want to as well!
@Nritter2#24989 Itās a fantastic game thatās been poorly described in much of the coverage itās received. Itās often compared to River City games, and its combat and art style is reminiscent of that but the combat is entirely optional for the entire game. Its open-endedness is often compared to the Yakuza series too and thatās also unfair given that, aside from a few set pieces, what you do is completely up to you. Personally Iād argue that itās closer to the social aspects of Persona games but itās much looser with how it presents the system.
I too bought it after briefly watching Tim play some of it and it took me a couple of hours to "get" it but I'd find it very difficult to find anyone that couldn't relate to the sense of camaraderie and the bonds that one has as a 17/18 year old as well as how friends deal with conflict between each other. Great stuff.
Every Genesis game ported to Steam is very, very cheap. Most of them are one dollar! Here are some incredibly good video games that are cheaper than a bad cup of coffee:
@Syzygy#25815 Thanks for the warning. I actually only clicked on it because I⦠somehow completely forgot that a new Contra had been released. Looking at it again, it does not look like my preferred flavor.
EDIT [every BlazBlue except Cross Tag Battle is wicked cheap](https://www.gamebillet.com/search?q=blazblue)
[Yakuza 0](https://store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP0177-CUSA05070_00-YAKUZA0AMERICA00) and [Kiwami](https://store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP0177-CUSA06997_00-YAKUZAKIWAMI0100), $5 on PSN (old news that there's basically been a non-stop PSN sale since last October but these are particularly good deals I didn't see earlier)
@captain#26705 whoa. Iāve never played any of the yakuza games and honestly havenāt felt a huge urge to. But five bucks! Thatās the kinda deal gets a fella interested.
@treefroggy#26781 Good luck with thatā¦I tried to do the same (I bought it in beta probably around 15y ago) and wanted to redownload it a few months ago to watch the American Football live Minecraft concert. Never got a meaningful response back from them, so I just ended up watching the stream. Show was pretty awesome at least!
@CidNight#26771 I already liked goonbagās comment imploring (nay, compelling) you to get 0, but just to be clear, yeah, between those two Iād say go for 0. I canāt believe itās so cheap!
@treefroggy#26781 godspeed, I tried to do that about a year ago. My computer had remained logged into my account for seven or eight years, then one day it updated and logged me out--totally forgot what my old info was. Just tried any old email addresses and passwords I could remember until one combination worked, thank goodness.
Good luck! They've changed the accounts system once or twice iirc. I remember having to transfer my old account to a new one a while back (this is Java edition).
