make up great stream gimmick ideas in here. if you post them here you are condoning others to steal them.
playing pachinko/plinko style games (like ballillionaire or peglin or Nubby’s Number Factory) while pretending to be a japanese salaryman in a smoke filled pachinko parlor
playing balatro while in a casino set or while dressed up like a blackjack dealer or with an overlay that has Luigi blackjack dealer from SM64DS dealing the cards
Maid outfit stream on Maid day (may 10th) playing maid games (like “The Maid Uniform and Machinegun - Simple 2000 Series Vol. 105” or Touhou or something). call chat master and do all the cringe stuff
stimulation stream with subway surfer, cookie clicker, a billion other idle games, and visualizers going all at once. the main part of the screen is just jingling keys and making baby noises
this is stuff I’ve had in my noggin for a while feel free to suggest others
This is not even a joke it just seems silly paired with the events of yesterday. But I’ve had the idea for a long time of a livestream where each individual action in the game was narrated by the streamer to be told like a novel. Perfectly straight. Ridiculous sources would make for the best entertainment in attempt to steer it as much into literature as possible; for example narrating a game like Cadillacs and Dinosaurs as opposed to, like, Gone Home.
i had an idea in my head once about a 24 hour long truck simulator charity stream for extra life or something. the idea was that i and one or two other people would start a totally fresh save, pick a city and starting place, and then work towards some sorta goal:
perpetually drive and fill up on gas to aim for 100% map completion
build x number of garages and hire x number of drivers
respect some sort of rules around working a limited number of hours and have driver/shift changes in regular intervals (by switching places on the couch and having the next player take the wheel)
streaming everything you’ve described, PLUS the endgame state of stimulation clicker. gotta get the true crime podcast in there https://neal.fun/stimulation-clicker/
Playing every Yakuza game in my collection but just the mahjong minigames and hoping some expert joins the chat to help point out what i’m doing wrong. Or crowdsourcing it so everyone knows when i’ve built towards one of the 50 stupid yaku I can’t keep memorized.
I am well-positioned to do the first two at least in spirit. I have been kicking around the idea of playing the SNES game Vegas Stakes for the IC community because I think it is hilarious. I’m a pretty successful rec poker player and the 7-card-stud simulation in that game is Terri-Bad. Also my son got hooked on playing Vegas Stakes scratch-its in the car ride last road trip so I can have him “on the couch”.
I’ve also played the Evangelion PS2 pachinko game for the IC community which was fun. Consider this mentally scheduled in the next few weekends.
Ooh, another stream idea: you know Zero Wing’s thirty-five endings? I looked it up, and if you were to play the game at speedrunner level, it would take almost a full day to see every ending.
I love the vibe of Vegas Stakes. Played a lot of this when I was a kid, and now as an adult I can appreciate that you can play as Chris Pine but with a slightly melted face.
A horror performance art stream called Wife Plays “____” but the husband is nowhere to be seen or heard. The wife streaming keeps talking to the husband in a Norman Bates and his mom kind of type of situation.
A series of streams where one tries to circumnavigate the globe in a small, private airplane. You could even bring a dog along for the ride and abandon it in sub-saharan africa.
